issue
A social issue is a problem that affects many people within a society. It is a group of common problems in present-day society and ones that many people strive to solve. It is often the consequence of factors extending beyond an individual's control. Social issues are the source of conflicting opinions on the grounds of what is perceived as morally correct or incorrect personal life or interpersonal social life decisions. Social issues are distinguished from economic issues; however, some issues (such as immigration) have both social and economic aspects. Some issues do not fall into either category, such as warfare.
There can be disagreements about what social issues are worth solving, or which should take precedence. Different individuals and different societies have different perceptions. In Rights of Man and Common Sense, Thomas Paine addresses the individual's duty to "allow the same rights to others as we allow ourselves." The failure to do so causes the creation of a social issue.
There are a variety of methods people use to combat social issues. Some people vote for leaders in a democracy to advance their ideals. Outside the political process, people donate or share their time, money, energy, or other resources. This often takes the form of volunteering. Nonprofit organizationss are often formed for the sole purpose of solving a social issue. Community organizing involves gathering people together for a common purpose.
A distinct but related meaning of the term "social issue" (used particularly in the United States) refers to topics of national political interest, over which the public is deeply divided and which are the subject of intense partisan advocacy, debate, and voting. In this case "social issue" does not necessarily refer to an ill to be solved, but rather a topic to be discussed.

Pistol appears to be unfired. Doesn’t have the commemorative box. Otherwise great condition.
open to offers. Will provide owner number.
I have read in numerous places that all pistols, even muzzleloading pistols or cap and ball revolvers require the usual BGC in WA and are not exempt like traditional muzzle loading rifles. My searching even found a few threads here on this site. Many times during my search I saw reference to...
I have a double stack 1911 chambered in 9mm and I am fairly ignorant in the function of them. I am hoping some of you with more knowledge can guide me.
The gun starts out shooting just fine but after about 6 magazines and warming up the hammer fails to fall completely. It stops close to the...
Unused size Large. It has some marks on the exterior from being in a duffle bag but has never been worn. The inside is new. Original pads and chin strap.

I just won an auction for a 100% “Ithaca” 1911a1. The price was a little over 1300. However he sent an email sincerely apologizing for accidental misrepresentation. Turns out the gun has an Ithaca slide with a Remington Rand frame. He offered to lower the price down to 1000 shipped. Is this...

Press Ctrl-B and then Ctrl-I to get bold and Italics - now press Ctrl-B and then Ctrl-I again and then press the space bar - the bold and italics comes back and the cursor goes back one position.
It shouldn't.
Had these laying around for years.
Need room and they need to go to a new home.
First issue and most of the first few years.
Rather then Ebay them figure someone would want them for the man cave.
These are not in perfect shape but good enough condition for some reading and wishing you could...
Field stripped my type 38 rifle as per the instructions in the Skennerton handbook. Reassembled and the safety does not function properly in that it does not completely lock up the bolt. It did before I disassembled it and I followed all steps correctly. Now, when I engage the safety, I cannot...
I've been trying to figure this out for some time now. When I shoot my p01 at indoor ranges I get the casings ejecting out and hitting me in the forehead or face with considerable velocity sometimes. Obviously getting smacked in the face with hot brass detracts from the enjoyment of shooting...
My Marlin 60 was the very first firearm given to me; so ~40 years old now. Until a few months ago, it sat unfired for more than 25 years.
After a thorough cleaning and lube job, I fired it and tested several ammo types. The bullets flew everywhere. At 50 yards, I would get one hit near target...
Hey all, I recently put together a 7.62x39 AR-15 and I'm have extraction/cycling issues with it. The rifle has a 20 inch barrel with rifle length gas port with an Adams Arms piston system and BCG. The gun fires fine, but is not cycling. I initially thought I might have a misaligned gas...
So I have a Tikka chambered in 300winmag that I had @Velzey Cerakote and thread. He did a fantastic job the gun looks great and the threading is nice. However, being that I am an idiot I didnt bring along my SiCo ASR muzzlebrake that I was planning to put on the gun when I dropped it off and...
Hi all,
I have had a few Jams with my used g43.
Some issues with extractor, but after a detailed strip and clean those seem to be fixed.
Now the issue I have is a few HST rounds want to hang up on the feed ramp. This occurs live fire with factory mags with aftermarket baseplates. Next time...
SOLD
Both of these pairs of sunglasses were worn once, maybe twice at most. I think I must have bought about five or six pairs of various model Oakley Sunglasses before I finally found something in frames the right size that suited my seemingly shrunken head. These two pair were a brief test...
Hi All,
I shot my new 9mm micro Kimber for the first time today. Every time I'd shoot, the damned magazine would fall out.
I originally thought I was pushing the magazine release with my thumb. (I have small hands and and it's about where my thumb would hit.) However, it happened even shooting...
Had an interesting experience with a Fiocchi round today. I loaded up a magazine with 30 rounds. After 25 rounds there was no issue. Pulled the trigger. Click. Dropped the magazine and tried ejecting the round and my bolt was stuck. Opened up the gun and was able to remove the bolt and to my...
