I just got back from my second CMP Service Rifle match at Douglas Ridge Rifle Club. It was a 500 aggregate. This time I shot my own M1A rather than one of the Club Garands. I did a lot better this time: middle of the pack, placed 14th out of 22 shooters. Not bad for a newbie.

I have a Springfield M1 Garand from CMP that is NIB with green hard CMP case. All documentation is there. Gun has not been disassembled or greased yet. I believe it is Field Grade and has new stock with CMP cartouche marking on side. Has tags that show bore rating from CMP. Looks brand new...
