m1 garand
The M1 Garand (or M1 Rifle) is a semi-automatic rifle that was the United States' service rifle during World War II and the Korean War.
The rifle is chambered for the .30-06 Springfield cartridge and is named after its Canadian-American designer, John Garand. It was the first standard-issue autoloading rifle for the United States. By most accounts, the M1 rifle performed well. General George S. Patton called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised". The M1 replaced the bolt-action M1903 Springfield as the U.S.' service rifle in 1936, and was itself replaced by the selective-fire M14 rifle on March 26, 1958.Although the name Garand is frequently pronounced , the preferred pronunciation is (to rhyme with errand), according to experts and people who knew John Garand, the weapon's designer. Frequently referred to as the "Garand" or "M1 Garand" by civilians, its official designation when it was the issue rifle in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps was "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1" or just "M1", and Garand was not mentioned.
Serial number places it made in 1952. CMP expert grade, so wood, barrel and all parts aside from the receiver are new. Fired 48 rounds.
Comes with box of Enblocs, CMP case, sling, USGI grease, and cleaning kit.
$1100

Mint mid 1960’s upper (dry film still on it) with crisp Colt proofs, with early 60’s barrel. Has mint charging handle. No drain hole hand guards with all teeth. Doesn’t get better than this one. Pics show details but if you need more message me. Looking to trade for CMP M1 Garand.
Cmp special grade 30.06 unfired from CMP throat and muzzle reading 0+ tag still attached. I put a empty clip in just to hear Garand ping and put it back in the case. Have a dozen or so clips and 50 or so rounds of CMP ammo

Has anyone had any luck with buying a Garand from CMP since the new laws went into effect? Their website seems to state that they will ship to WA but not to a C&R, must go to a dealer. I got the itch for a new Garand, but am I out of luck?
I made some poor financial decisions so I have to let some of my collector pieces go. The Garand is worth the most so it goes first.
SA 1943 dated receiver, SA 12/52 barrel, all internals minus one piece is SA dated 1942-1944. Stock doesn’t appear to have an USGI markings.

I got my M1 Garand from the CMP the other day and I went out and found some of the "Blue Box Ammo" specifically for it. Can't recall the brand, too lazy to walk to the basement. This will tide me over for now past the first couple range days.
I wanted to ask if anyone has any direct...
