k98
The Karabiner 98 kurz (German: [kaʁaˈbiːnɐ ˌʔaxtʔʊntˈnɔʏntsɪç ˈkʊɐ̯ts]; "carbine 98 short"), often abbreviated Karabiner 98k, Kar98k or K98k and also incorrectly sometimes referred to as a K98 (a K98 is a Polish carbine and copy of the Kar98a), is a bolt-action rifle chambered for the 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge. It was adopted on 21 June 1935 as the standard service rifle by the German Wehrmacht. It was one of the final developments in the long line of Mauser military rifles.
Although supplemented by semi-automatic and fully automatic rifles during World War II, the Karabiner 98k remained the primary German service rifle until the end of the war in 1945. Millions were captured by the Soviets at the conclusion of World War II and were widely distributed as military aid. The Karabiner 98k therefore continues to appear in conflicts across the world as they are taken out of storage during times of strife.
Hello all, I'm looking at some point trying to get a K98. However given how prices are currently I'm only really interested in a shooter K98 and not so much a full matching collectors piece. What would you guys say would be a good price for a shooter K98 be it from Mitchell's (yes I'm aware of...

Due to upcoming expenses I'm parting with this gorgeous k98. It is a 1940 243 code (Mauser Borsigwalde), non matching. The receiver and barrel match but the remainder of the rifle is a mix master. The finish of the rifle, especially on the receiver and barrel, is excellent. Waffenamts and...

Howdy all, I recently decided to pick up an overpriced CMMG so I have to part with a rifle. It is my personal rule that if a firearm is so nice that I'm afraid to take it out often, it has to go (especially when I make other impulse purchases!).
Anyway, the k98 I'm selling was purchased from...

I recently got sporting Mauser 98 with Gew 98 receiver and K98 bolt and love the rifle. Tonight my curiosity decided to measure the firing pin protrusion even though there was no any need of doing it. I found a video on youtube how to activate the firing pin while bolt it not inside the rifle...

Howdy,
I have a VZ-24 Mauser for sale. Its a well functioning rifle that's definitely seen some service. The stock is in good but worn shape. The barrel has been counterbored, but has very good rifling interestingly. The bolt is not numbers matching to the receiver. Fairly common in these older...

Howdy,
I have an interesting and rare rifle for sale. a German Kar 98 made in Erfurt, 1915 in what appears to be a polish configuration with a Polish Eagle stamping on the side. Polish K98s, especially captured/bought and converted ones are pretty rare from what little I've been able to find...
