k98
The Karabiner 98 kurz (German: [kaʁaˈbiːnɐ ˌʔaxtʔʊntˈnɔʏntsɪç ˈkʊɐ̯ts]; "carbine 98 short"), often abbreviated Karabiner 98k, Kar98k or K98k and also incorrectly sometimes referred to as a K98 (a K98 is a Polish carbine and copy of the Kar98a), is a bolt-action rifle chambered for the 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge. It was adopted on 21 June 1935 as the standard service rifle by the German Wehrmacht. It was one of the final developments in the long line of Mauser military rifles.
Although supplemented by semi-automatic and fully automatic rifles during World War II, the Karabiner 98k remained the primary German service rifle until the end of the war in 1945. Millions were captured by the Soviets at the conclusion of World War II and were widely distributed as military aid. The Karabiner 98k therefore continues to appear in conflicts across the world as they are taken out of storage during times of strife.

Listing my German K98 made by Mauser BYF Oberndorf in 1942.

Looking for a Mauser in 308. I would prefer a purpose built Belgian model explicitly built in 308 to be exported to Isreal, but I am open to just about anything including the earlier Spanish models.
Mainly it's because I have an 8mm K98k and prices for 8mm are just ridiculous. I'd much rather...
Byf 44, extra drilled holes action. But had a good barrel on it so I put it into a original 44 date stock if I remember right and swapped the duplex crosshair reticle weaver for a post reticle. Been hanging on the shop wall for years. Will sell it for the sum of parts. 650$ shipped
Good condition overall. Unfortunately at some point in it's life the date and manufacturer mark on the top of the reciever got pitted.
Functions well. Nice 3 digit serial number on the barrel and receiver and has the original eagles and waffenamts.
Good condition original laminate stock with...
