vintage
Vintage, in winemaking, is the process of picking grapes and creating the finished product (see Harvest (wine)). A vintage wine is one made from grapes that were all, or primarily, grown and harvested in a single specified year. In certain wines, it can denote quality, as in Port wine, where Port houses make and declare vintage Port in their best years. From this tradition, a common, though incorrect, usage applies the term to any wine that is perceived to be particularly old or of a particularly high quality.
Most countries allow a vintage wine to include a portion of wine that is not from the year denoted on the label. In Chile and South Africa, the requirement is 75% same-year content for vintage-dated wine. In Australia, New Zealand, and the member states of the European Union, the requirement is 85%. In the United States, the requirement is 85%, unless the wine is designated with an AVA, (e.g., Napa Valley), in which case it is 95%. Technically, the 85% rule in the United States applies equally to imports, but there are obvious difficulties in enforcing the regulation.
The opposite of a vintage wine is a nonvintage wine (often seen on a wine list as NV), which is usually a blend from the produce of two or more years. This is a common practice for winemakers seeking a consistent style of wine, year on year.

Just like the title says. I have 12 boxes of 45 ACP. My uncle shot competition in the CMP and this was what he shot.

This morning I was thumbing through a couple different books on varmint and small hunting published in the 1980s. One of them had a recommendation, and photographs of, .30-30 Accelerator ammunition. I haven't seen those in a long while. (The last time I saw cartridges in that line was in the...

I’d like to find a new home for this CZ Model 24 pistol. From what I can find it was manufactured fairly early. SN range from 12,000-190,000 and this particular CZ has SN 15192. I’m asking $800 or best offer based on recent auction and final sale prices I was able to find online. The only trade...
So my uncle's house was completely burned to the ground in the Santiam Fire, and he had all of my late grandfather's guns. Every single one had the stocks completely burned off, scope glass melted, and none of them will ever work again. However, he had 2 Winchester Model 94's and 2 Winchester...
I've had this lug bayonet for probably nearly 20 years. It has spent most of its life with me, in a safe.
From the limited research I've been able to do, it's a bayonet made from 1850's to 1860's. It is marked with "US". I can't find any other markings.
This bayonet is probably in better...
Knife collectors will appreciate this knife. I am selling my original vintage Schrade LB7 Uncle Henry folding lock back hunting knife, made in USA with AW7104 marking on it. This is a beautiful, extremely high quality, heavy duty knife. It features a stainless steel clip point blade, a blade...
Here are some cool display pieces. The 4 on the left are full boxes, the other six have varying amounts of ammo in them.
I can meet in gaston, Hillsboro, or the Tillamook area depending on the day and time.
18rnd tube magazine. Shoot the lights out as-is or give a little TLC and have a piece of nostalgia.
Had a rear-sight repair at some point but it's a point and shoot rifle.

As the title implies I have a new unissued FAL buttstock with stock metal and screws. I have had this since the 90's back when FAL kits and parts were cheap. Look at the photos but as I said new unissued there is not even a dent in this stock , and while the screw holes have been located I...
Hey Folks,
I have a vintage HS (Herbert Schmidt) .177 caliber "GAT" air pistol. Made in Germany.
This unique pistol is loaded by compressing the barrel, unscrewing the breach, loading a pellet, closing the breach, and then firing!
It's really a lot of fun. I inherited it from the original...
