m1 garand
The M1 Garand (or M1 Rifle) is a semi-automatic rifle that was the United States' service rifle during World War II and the Korean War.
The rifle is chambered for the .30-06 Springfield cartridge and is named after its Canadian-American designer, John Garand. It was the first standard-issue autoloading rifle for the United States. By most accounts, the M1 rifle performed well. General George S. Patton called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised". The M1 replaced the bolt-action M1903 Springfield as the U.S.' service rifle in 1936, and was itself replaced by the selective-fire M14 rifle on March 26, 1958.Although the name Garand is frequently pronounced , the preferred pronunciation is (to rhyme with errand), according to experts and people who knew John Garand, the weapon's designer. Frequently referred to as the "Garand" or "M1 Garand" by civilians, its official designation when it was the issue rifle in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps was "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1" or just "M1", and Garand was not mentioned.
I have a Winchester lever-action .38-55 “chief crazy horse” that has never been shot and is still brand new in the box, wanting to trade for a M1 garand, preferably a Springfield! Thanks for looking!

H&R arms M1 garand chambered in 30-06 Springfield. Serial numbers put it built during the Korean War, but the numbers don’t match so it’s more than likely a CMP rifle. It’s in amazing shape, and comes with 40 enblock clips. $1000

I have a 1942 Springfield M-1 Garand for sale. It appears to be an all Springfield gun.
I've had this gun for about 30 years and purchased it from a gentleman that said it was a DCM gun.
I have no paperwork to prove so take that with a grain of salt. Bore is bright and it's overall
condition is...

Two USGI stocks. Paid $11 bucks each...plus shipping.
One a 50's production H&R stock in fairly decent shape.
The other an unknown war horse of a stock that looks to have seen a few things and might have brought back a disease or two.
The H&R stock...
I have 100 rounds of vintage .30-06 ammo made at the Utah Ordnance Plant in 1942, still in its original boxes. One box has been opened (by previous owner, not by me) but the other boxes are still sealed. Utah Ordnance ammo is hard to come by so this is a very cool collector's item! I believe...
Recently I purchased two M-1 Service Rifle stocks from GunBroker for the bargain basement price of $21 total. The lighter colored stock looked to have promise. The darker one looked to be a throw-in paired with a nicer stock to move it out of inventory.
When they arrived, I was surprised to...
