m1 garand
The M1 Garand (or M1 Rifle) is a semi-automatic rifle that was the United States' service rifle during World War II and the Korean War.
The rifle is chambered for the .30-06 Springfield cartridge and is named after its Canadian-American designer, John Garand. It was the first standard-issue autoloading rifle for the United States. By most accounts, the M1 rifle performed well. General George S. Patton called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised". The M1 replaced the bolt-action M1903 Springfield as the U.S.' service rifle in 1936, and was itself replaced by the selective-fire M14 rifle on March 26, 1958.Although the name Garand is frequently pronounced , the preferred pronunciation is (to rhyme with errand), according to experts and people who knew John Garand, the weapon's designer. Frequently referred to as the "Garand" or "M1 Garand" by civilians, its official designation when it was the issue rifle in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps was "U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1" or just "M1", and Garand was not mentioned.

Looking to buy anything from a complete rifle to just the receiver for a project. The main part I am interested in is the receiver, it can’t have any pitting and needs a crisp heal stamp. Other than that it does not need to be pretty.

Looking for a new stock set for my M1. Just in case somebody got CMP wood and traded it for usgi at some point. I know they’re online, but they’re expensive and I figured I would check here first.
I have ammo for trade if you’re looking.
Thanks.
I have a CMP "expert" grade M1 Garand I want to sell along with a can of HXP ammo. New stock and barrel, everything else is GI. It's a 1942 Garand with a six digit receiver, 486114. I've never fired it. Have everything that came with it from CMP. $1,500 for rifle and ammo.

This is a 1945 Springfield Armory M1 rifle in 30-06. Standard size. Condition is excellent.
Most of the parts are age correct, some are newer.
It is an Arlington Ordnance import, returned from South Korea Forces after a rebuild, and an Arlington Ordnance barrel (Citadel 4...
I’ve seen a lot of lever guns on here so now I have the bug to get one, so I’m letting this thing go.
It’s a CMP Service Grade with most or all SA parts. 1952 serial with a 64 barrel. 2 and 2 on the throat and muzzle. New stock and I’ll also throw in a couple en bloc clips.

Bought this from a friend many years ago. That is relevant, because I replaced the rear sight with a no-modification SK scope mount, and enough time has passed that I can not find the original sight parts. Swear I have them somewhere, but best count those out. I believe the mount is no longer...
Hello, doing some renovations at the house so need to pass some items along. Have some very nice collectibles and minty guns for sale. Cross posted.

So apparently the rumor has been swirling for a few months now, but a Palmetto State Armory representative recently confirmed since PSA bought the Harrington and Richardson name and their intellectual property (including technical data packages, blueprints, etc), they have been actively pursuing...
Super nice M1 Garand Harrington Richardson Rifle.
This was likely a CMP Greek return M1. It was probably unused like many of the returned SA and HRA’s that came back from the Greeks. Looks like someone did fire it. It does not appear to have ever been lubed for service. I have included...
Surplus to the needs of the service, of course.
I have two boxes of 50 each, (97 actually) CBC .308. A box got open when moving and I lost three, (thus the plastic wrap!), so 97 and not 100 rounds. My understaind is this is Magtech, CBC is the parent company and this is the Brazilian military...
