This is a US Model 1942 M1 Garand 16" PAL manufactured and 1943 dated bayonet and M3 scabbard. Overall length is 20 1/2" with a 15 15/16" single edged blade with false edge and fuller. It is marked "PAL/FLAMING BOMB/US/1943" Grips are black bakelite with striations that have good texture. The blade has never been polished and has a true battle look to it. Scabbard has a green plastic body and metal throat marked "US" inside a "FLAMING BOMB".
