A Federal Firearms License (FFL) is a license in the United States that enables an individual or a company to engage in a business pertaining to the manufacture or importation of firearms and ammunition, or the interstate and intrastate sale of firearms. Holding an FFL to engage in certain such activities has been a legal requirement within the United States since the enactment of the Gun Control Act of 1968. The FFL is issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE, commonly known as the "ATF")
C&R - Argentine Ballester Rigaud (Molina) - .45 ACP pistol. And marked for the Policía Marítima.
The Ballester–Molina is a pistol designed and built by the Argentine company Hispano Argentina Fábrica de Automóviles SA (HAFDASA). From 1938 to 1940 it bore the name Ballester–Rigaud.

Remington 341-pSportmaster in decent condition. I would describe it as shooter grade. I enjoy this rifle a lot but have too many bolt action 22s as it stands and need to make room in my safe.
This rifle was made between 1936-1940, making it C&R eligible. I would be more than happy to sell this...
I am selling an M1903 springfield from WW1 it is in overall good condition with a few minor blems in the stock where it was repaired at some point in its lifespan. Comes with an original 1918 dated sling as well as a muzzle cap. Really cool piece of history my loss is your gain. Looking for 1300...
This is an older custom rifle based on a 1940's/50's Turkish Mauser. Glass bedded, custom Bold trigger, custom safety. Bright, shiny bore with good rifling. Also comes with an older, Japanese made Tasco 4X scope. I shot this rifle from the bench with factory .308 loads and printed 2" groups at...
Up for sale is a nice condition M96 Swedish Mauser chambered in 6.5x55mm Swede. This rifle is a 1911 manufacture and is numbers-matching on all parts except the cleaning rod. It is CAI import marked, however the markings are tiny.
Stock is in good condition with the usual handling and combat...
I have an 1891 Mauser in great condition, almost looks like it was made yesterday, all matching numbers. It does have the shaving of the crest and what not but that is the norm. My delema is that it is so long and heavy. I tend to be more of a carbine type of guy. I have seen some carbines on...
Here's a thought that popped into my mind. 1639 classifies all semiautomatic rifles as "assault rifles" and requires a safety certification to purchase as well as a 10 day cooldown period before one can take their purchase home. How does this affect C&R license holders? Given, for instance, that...
I did the Google thing and didn't come up with anything meaningful. Can anyone tell me what impacts, if any, i1639 and any of the other nonsense laws that have passed in the last few years have on 03 FFLs?
Specifically, are there any state restrictions or requirements beyond the standard...
I have a curiosity question.
Met up with someone who has a pristine Maxim 1910 machine gun.
His story is it's a heirloom from his Finnish great grandfather who was in the Russo-Finnish war. It recently came into his possession, literally covered in canvas in his grandfather's barn in Alabama...
I'm reading the February, 2019 magazine from Washington Arms Collectors (WAC), and they are indicating there might be an exemption based on the Federal Curio & Relic (C&R) license. The C&R license allows the license holder to transfer firearms older than 50 years and other specifically-listed...
The one in Tulalip. I have had good luck finding stuff there.
Recently picked up two pistols there, first was a 1916 Erfurt P08 and the other was a nice Gray Ghost P38.
The Luger is all matching except for the magazine, which is a correct wood bottom mag. Bore is bright and shiny.
First up is a 1943 Tula Model 1895 Nagant revolver. 7 shot gas seal with a DA trigger pull measured in tons rather than pounds. (SA pull is much nicer) Holster and cleaning tool included. Only God knows what happened to the "owner's manual". RGuns import mark on the frame but not too...
Very good condition Beretta M1935 in 32 ACP with one (8 round) magazine.
Bluing is in great shape, with minimal wear. Date stamped 1954. Includes a leather holder and a soft sided gun case.
$400 OBO
Trades:
- Ruger PC9
- Glocks in 9mm
- Vintage Revolvers
- 1911 or “1911ish” platforms in 9mm
To add an additional wrinkle to a complicated situation,
I'm getting a C&R rifle from an OR resident.
He's getting an Over under shotgun from me.
Can I use my c&r or as the transfers in OR does OR law not allow this? Any other hangups?
Thanks
From the instruction definitions;
"Chief Law Enforcement Officer - The Chief of Police, Sheriff, or an equivalent designee of such individual, of the locality in which the premises
sought to be licensed, is located."

So I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I just want to be positive. If I live in a non machine gun state I cant purchase a machine gun on my 03 correct? I think this is one of those things where I know the answer but I dont want to hear it.
I'm kind of on the fence about getting a C&R license. I would like to hear from license holders about the frequency of visits or inquires from ATF agents.
Just curious what the latest thoughts are on the use of a C&R in WA? Seems like there was a lot of confusion in the past but rumor has it that SB 5552 was going to take care of it?
Always thought of getting one and noticed that CMP website now appears to allow shipments to C&R in WA State?
My...
