project
In contemporary business and science, a project is an individual or collaborative enterprise, possibly involving research or design, that is carefully plan, usually by the project assigned team, to achieve a particular aim.
One can also define a project as a set of interrelated tasks to be executed over a fixed period and within certain cost and other limitations.
One can view projects as temporary (rather than permanent) social systems or as work systems that are constituted by teams within or across organizations to accomplish particular tasks under time constraints. An ongoing project is usually called (or evolves into) a program.
Delay after delay! Add this, add that! Cost is up there now! But wow, they will be so much better than the original build. Here's the low down...
Original estimate of $10,220 was, what we thought last year, very reasonable based on the original construction cost that was around $30,000+ for...
At the DMV this morning at 6:45
to get in before the crowd, and it is 9-people deep waiting to get a new driver’s licence. We watched the (1) person handling the licensing and testing and it took her 45-min to process that kid. Meanwhile there are (3) stations for auto registration and no one is...
Looking for a good project? This rifle has been rechambered to .300 Savage and in its current state, doesn’t function reliably. The main issue is that something is keeping trigger from engaging other internals properly and sometimes wont fire. It was also crudely set in the stock it is in now...
Louisiana bars banks from $600M deal because of gun policies
LOL. Citgroup and BofA won't be allowed to finance interstate highway projects in Louisiana because of their retrograde 2A policies. Want to see more of this elsewhere.
I bought this ratty looking Marlin 25M in .22 Magnum for $10 and decided to refinish it
Before and after pictures

I bought this sad looking Winchester model 250 lever action .22 that was in a house fire.....after some parts searching, lots of cleaning and sanding, then rebluing, the gun looks like new again
Here are some before and after shots
Blog posts documenting the work that was done...
Mossberg model 514 22 auto that doesn't feed well but shoots OK with Weaver scope. Asking $65. SOLD
Brit 303 and I will let those that know this stuff tell what model, etc it is. Feeds and shoots good and has a decent but not mint bore. Tradewinds variable scope so it is all there and would...
I’ve got an idea for a reloading accessory and need some assistance forming some sheet steel. Looking for a member with a press brake in the Clackamas County or S.E. Portland region who’s interested in collaborating on the project.
I have an FEG P9R (basically a Hungarian copy of a S&W 3rd gen auto made to look like a Hi Power) project gun that I want to get rid of. The pistol functions perfectly and is a great, soft shooting, all steel, 15 round 9mm. Comes with three mags and a nice Belgian police holster.
I bought this...
Project mauser hsc 380, being sold as missing grip screws and without barrel ( barrel is included but previous moron squibbed it and cracked it so I welded it back for fun) otherwise complete and a nice pistol. 225$
I have been working on this project for a few years and have finally decided I just don’t love it.
This is a Rhineland Arms conversion kit. It uses a Savage-style barrel nut to install the .45acp barrel. The kit is currently installed on a fairly clean banner-crest VZ24 action. The mag well has...
So, an idea I keep coming back to is buying / modifying a very little, handy bolt-action for small varmints (e.g., coyotes, foxes) and informal shooting. A thought I have is to:
Obtain a CZ 527 carbine.
Papering it as an SBR and shortening the barrel back to, say, 11-12".
Threading said to...
This is the next one on the chopping block.
Looking into making it look like their DVC Carry Model in some way shapes or form.
This is what I have to start with.
Will update when I'm done with it.
sometimes you just want your Buckmark chopped down and threaded. The bead will just clear a can. Barrel stub was turned into a thread protector. Chopped it
Down to 1.5” or so :) blended a 11 degree crown from the thread protector into the barrel
Finally
Got this done for a client this morning.
He gonna a happy camper!!
Going to tell him that he should cerakote it the same as mine ...the black glock barrel is gonna make the gun look sharp showing through the windows.
The thread Made a PVC Target Stand today. is right up the alley of what my next project was going to be...
I have been thinking about making a brass catcher out of PVC, and some netting. But I have also thought about just using some small stock wood (I am pretty handy with wood). Anyone have...
