I was in precise shooter over my lunch break today, Thinking I was going toon grab a couple boxes of ammo.
The place was packed! Every customer in there was picking up stripped lowers. When I heard that their inventory went from 10 down to 3 over the 15 minutes I was in there, I made a decision to buy a couple for myself, instead of the 200 rounds of 9mm I was originally planning on purchasing. I feel kind of silly for panic buying, but I swear, I just couldn't help it! Haha- the Election Day buying frenzy has definitely started rumbling along, sweeping up normally rational folks like yours truly.
Oh well- now I know I'll have a few of the basic parts when I finally decide to make my ar (it's definitely something I want to do in the future). I still gotta get that 9mm ammo though!

Youve got to admit this is the least boring election ever. I revile Trump more than I do Clinton and to be honest I'm not happy with the destruction he has leveled on my Party. I'm an old school Rockefeller Country club type Republican and thoroughly resent the biker gang taking over the country club. Having said that I will respect the elected President as I always do. I know. Not a trendy thing to say. Its starting to look like the idiot ( Trump) might actually pull it off not because of what he's doing but because of what Clinton is doing to herself. If that happens more power to him and I hope he gets impeached soon enough to give his VP a good long run as President.

I don't know you, so don't take this personally. Have you tried looking in the mirror and perhaps getting a glimmer of what the Trump revolt is about. I believe that people are getting tired of the country club types simply moving the status quo forward. It would be a stretch that most think DJT is a perfect person, but by bucking the system, he is saying that the same 'ol, same 'ol isn't working. And he's doing it with (mostly) his own money. Win or lose, it should be a wake up call. I certainly don't hold him up as a shining example of someone I would look up to, but he's what shook up the system. I truly believe that he can be tempered by the party and will abide by the constitution. There is no way a rational human being can say the same about Hillery.

You've got to admit this is the least boring election ever.

Two good quotes I've heard about this election:
"The Samsung Galaxy catching fire and the iPhone 7 lacking a headphone port make a good analogy for this election."

"How do you choose between someone who represents everything that's wrong with our country, and someone who represents everything that's wrong with our government?"

My daughter was smart and purchased a Ruger lc9s and a box of ammo back East where she lives. Several of my women friends are purchasing handguns or shotguns for their home. Most realize that Police crime control as a policy has failed. Hopefully, after the election everyone will be peaceful and polite. If I am wrong, some on the wrong side of the law may become more rude and violent.

Ive never been a one issue voter and I'm not one now. I have been a loyal Republican in the vein of Bill Buckley, George Will, Reagan, Goldwater and Rockefeller for 30 years. The modern populist Republican Party is not my party any more. Its the party of the angry mob now who believe pretty much anything it seems. Like George Will, whom I am sure most Trump converts have no idea who that is , I no longer feel it represents me. I don't believe Trump when he says he supports the 2nd amendment and to be honest I don't believe anything else he claims. I won't vote for that man. Doesnt matter anyway. I live in Washington and this state WILL go Democrat so my vote can and probably will go to my dog for all it matters. Clinton can't do anything without the Congress and that includes put judges on the bench.

If Trump does manage to get elected I cannot imagine for a second that he would make it through without being impeached. He'd make a God Awful President.

Its not really me that needs to look in the mirror. The trump platform is so removed from the traditional Republican platform and historical base that you guys really need to set up your own party instead of continually trying to crash ours. Most of the Trump people Ive seen would be better off aligning themselves with the Democrats because that seems to be what they want to be given their talking points. They seem to think gov't will be the answer to their problems. To be honest in this country we really need around 4 parties..

1. The Democratic Party. The Clinton style good old boy fleece the poor party.
2. The Sanders style living in the basement Socialists.
3. Trump is a flash in the pan and although he hardly is a shining example of anything other than Trump and he doesnt really mesh with the Tea Party guys either. You can have them both. I dont know what to call that party but you guys can do whatever you want.
4. Old school GOP party of Lincoln limited Govt pro business willing to compromise to get things done party. I suppose we'd get stuck with the evangelicals.

The guys who get me are the ones who during the primary circus were saying " I cant decide whether to vote for Trump or Sanders " Not that Trump says or does anything that would lead you to believe he is actually a Republican but really? I mean here you have a dyed in the wool socialist and Trump who like him or love him is an over the top Capitalist in all the good and bad senses of the word and someone can't make up their mind between the two? Talk about a total and complete lack of a moral compass.

I dont think I completely missed the point because I dont believe that the party can or will stay together at this point. You claim those who want to shake up the party are the majority. I dont believe that to be true at all . I think your side is 20-30% and I can back that up by looking at the people who actually get elected to Congress and who they ( we ) chose as the leadership of the party. Your side is a vocal minority within the party that is wreaking havoc to be sure and by all rights should result in a splintering of the party. Having third or fourth parties would be good for our democracy. The Democrats have the same thing going on with the socialists within their party. Let'em go I say and form their own party. Where this country really screwed up and started this burn down the government and our political institutions crap is in the 1970's when states started allowing open primaries. Now we allow outsiders to pick out party candidates for us. Bad move.

Not me having a hard time with Trump and Sanders funny guy.

I was in my LGS and everyone there was buying either multiple AR/AK platforms and or lowers. I think the next thing to be come difficult to obtain, is ammo. Just my .02

Yea. We've all said something like "not all ... are ...". Never say always... Don't lump everyone into one group. I get that. But, if liberals vote for representatives that are anti-gun, then that voter is choosing to help an anti-gun agenda. Whether anti-gun, or not, they are voting for the anti-gun platform. No, not all liberals are anti-gun. But certainly enough that I can say with confidence that a very large number of liberals are anti-gun.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner folks!!!! This same statement is what I tell my fishing buddies who have been on the fence!!! If you help elect them then you are supporting them!!!!

This morning I was starting to get that panic-y, "I'm not prepared for a potential equipment ban!" feeling until I took stock of my magazine crate... Over the last year I've been slowly buying stuff that I want/think I'll need little by little. (Good thing I had enough foresight to get m4 magazines, even though I haven't finished buying parts for my build).

Ahhhh... I feel better now- no need to panic!

Also, I've learned that a year of buying a box here, a box there, of .22lr ends up in a pretty good stockpile. Slow and steady wins the race, my brothers!
