I shopped at Precise when they opened on Aurora in Seattle, when they moved to Lynnwood, and at their current location in Woodinville.

Their pricing for new products is essentially my benchmark. I have placed a number of special orders with them and their pricing has always been great. I no longer live or work nearby, so don't get by regularly. Always have a browser tab open on the Precise website. Being able to see pricing and availability for sooo many brands from multiple distributors is great. Pricing on private party transfers or transfers from other websites is really pretty great as well.

The special order process was simple. Email what you want from their site, call in with a deposit, get an email when its time to do paperwork, and then pickup. Ordering from someone else and shipping to them, pretty much the same process.

Haven't picked anything up from them in around a year, but they are always on my radar. Can be busy, but I think that's a reflection of the value they provide. Great shop.

I may be biased when it comes to this particular review as I have been a customer since I was 19. I am 26 now and I always come back to ORW. Their prices are fair when it comes to the market sometimes a little more sometimes a little less. They have a great staff. I highly recommend them.
Easy spot from west side of Portland
Overall Rating
5.00 star(s)
Pros
  • Not too far of a drive
  • Plenty of room for multiple calibers
Cons
  • Could tell some shooters didn't care much about leaving the range the way they found it.
Not a bad spot if you're looking for something easily accessible from Portland's west suburbs. Only about 35-40 minutes.

Well maintained for the most part. Will be back when the weather is consistently decent.

Went to transfer a person to person firearms sale with this FFL and after they "FINALLY" got the paperwork done told us that the seller had to take the guns home until the buyer was cleared and then the seller had to bring back in the guns to complete the transfer (1hr away), The paper work and fees were already completed when they told us their policy, Other than taking forever to complete the process (over an hour easy) the guy that worked there let us stand around while he roamed the store looking dumb, The one lady who eventually helped us was nice and I really did not have a problem with her but the rest were unknowledgeable and worthless to say the least, STAY AWAY>>>>

Firearm transfers are a disaster. Took 3 hours of both the seller and the buyers time. No wonder they want paid up front. I'll never darken their doorway again.

I will update my review as at least the owner is concerned about their reputation and called me. Great guy and great communication. Very hard to find good help and government policies make it very hard to protect your business. I understand their concern about doing the right thing, but will not do business as other FFL transfers take a fraction of the time. I don't know the answer and am quite sure things about firearms are not going to get easier. Don't know the answer but the owner of Capital Pawn is a stand up guy!

  • Dan is a smart man and him helping with the TYMPPP is an awesome thing!
  • Service team is top notch.
  • Place is well kept, clean and animals are welcomed. Being cuddled by a cute dog over their is awesome!
Cons
  • Headquartered in Washington which is really no fault to them, politicians are going to politician things.
Bought an upper and minuteman ammo not too long ago last year or so before the parts ban. Love minuteman ammo for my .357 Magnum 686+ specifically their 125gr offering. You want to smack something hard and let them know it as much as your hand? That's the load to go with.

  • Communication
  • Cleanliness
I've been going to this pit for years and it's well known as being more than questionable some times in regard to safety and other shooters. This most recent visit was no different.

We got there early and had no issue setting up and communicating for a cease fire to setup targets. We shot for a solid hour or so as more people showed up and started setting up. The range went cold after a group on our far right went down the line asking for a cease fire. Everybody agreed and an audible 'CEASE FIRE' was yelled out between parties. As the group that asked for the cease fire is crossing the firing line, BANG. Dumbass to our left starts popping of his pistol. Luckily nobody was down range yet. I yelled, "Hey! HEY!! CEASE FIRE!" He apparently was annoyed given the look on his face and whatever he muttered under his breath as he threw his pistol down on his table.

Later on that day, more and more people showed up as it tends to happen here. Another group setup to our left and had zero firearms experience, flagged the line both directions, was chambering rounds with their fingers on the trigger, etc. Then on the far right side, a group showed up that smelled heavily of weed and started blasting off full auto's with home made suppressors. Our group of three rigs packed up and took off after that.

The pit itself is great. It's really the people that mess it up. Please bring bags with you and pack out some extra garbage when you go. Places have been shut down for abuse over the years and I'd hate to see the Greenwater pit be added to that list. Go early morning on weekends or during the week to avoid the super huge crowds or slightly past the big pit, take a right and explore further up the mountain. There are a number of smaller areas to setup and shoot with good backstops and no crowds.
