When we lived in PDX my wife and I hangout out at club 205 after work with friends. They do have bouncers and the bouncers have hand hold metal detector but my wife and I passed all the time. They only check thugs and drugs looking. As for my wife and I we are well dress, we dress very professional so they most likely skip us.

Next time drive down to Portland for dinner.

Of course the only bar my wife drags me out to is in the Indian Casio, and the whole reservation is a No Carry Zone, not even locked in your car.

Teacher with long gun slung over her shoulder!!!

We always take our motorhome to the casino's and I do leave my handguns and shotgun inside, loaded with the doors locked. Also, all seven of our cats are on guard duty!

My wife and I both carry and since we live in Oregon we don't have the "restrictions" that come with visiting a bar or other "off limits" area that Washington has. In Oregon all they can do is ask you to leave. That is if they figure out you're carrying.
I carry. My wife knows that I do and trusts my judgement. Oh yeah, she carries, too.
I'm not telling the OP that he did anything wrong, but I would have proceeded to the bar, pre dinner, like nothing was the matter.

I'm not too keen on laws that may jeopardize my safety, but I'll never condemn others for doing what they think is right.

Outside of calling the law what could they do in WA other than ask you to leave after informing you of the restrictions? I figure if they call johnny law you would have a few minutes to get gone and the likelihood of the bartender taking down your plate # would be slim to none.

Yeah and if they don't alert you that they called the popo?
No more buying guns for you. A violation like that will/could get you denied on a nics check.
Yeah on private sales ,too,now

I guess what I was asking was even if johnny law does show up and has a chat with you, what are the consequences? I would that as long as you were minding your p's/q's and had some proper documents (comrade) that there probably wouldn't be much of a punishment. I'd rather take my chances with that than going to a anti law rally on federal property after informing the internet that I and a bunch of like minded people are having said rally to break the law.

He just explained the consequences. You can end up failing a nics check.

Well I stopped drinking in bars long ago.I pretty much stopped going out to dinner too,so this isn't a problem for me.Oh yeah,I stopped living where I had to worry about being armed 24/7,also
BUT!! it is a LAW that you cannot carry EVEN concealed carry licensed, anywhere it's 21 and over.
So if you are in a big city and the leo comes there is legal repercussions. Up here they may not bother since it would be an out of towner that would call 911 and they would have to arrest the whole bar.
Lots of folk here carry,lol
So there is a problem. They don't have to just escort you out and tell you not to come back

My wife doesn't carry (yet) but is glad I do. We were on a walk last night, car pulls to the curb about half a block back, lights still on....she gives me the look, I say "no worries" and she knows that of course I have my carry with me. Never mentions it in public.....
