If you need to yes, I much prefer to store fuel than go with something like wood gas - it would be a last resort. In a survival situation you do whatever works. It's proven to work.
My truck was my daily driver, but diesel is bad enough I filled the tank, parked it and now I'm driving my Exploder.diesel at the local stations is running at $5.25 or so per gallon. the closest station is $5.75. I went to the local farm store and got 100 gallons of off-road fuel at $4.90. thanks, Joe!
My daily driver is also a diesel, time to dust off the motorcycle. My truck was my daily driver, but diesel is bad enough I filled the tank, parked it and now I'm driving my Exploder.

I'm looking at $5ish/g for my truck at 19mpg or 20 mpg at $4.60/ for my twin turbo Explorer. I'm kind of effed either way.My daily driver is also a diesel, time to dust off the motorcycle.
they could give me an electric car and I wouldn't drive the pile of crap. maybe sell it and buy a couple tanks of diesel! As gas prices soar, Oregon will give you $7,500 to buy an electric car. Here's how
A sharp rise of gas prices has made electric vehicles a more interesting option. Here's how to get a $7,500 from Oregon for buying one.www.statesmanjournal.com
And congress just voted themselves a big raise so it looks like the know inflation is going to hurt bad.I'm not too concerned about the price of gas i put in my rig. Whats keeping me up at night is how that cost and cost if other products like fertilizer and whatnot are going to raise the cost of food in the coming months. 10x in the next 18 - 24 months?
Yep. Be ready for all contingencies. Stay flexible. Be smart. Stay Diversified. God Bless. It's my opinion the crash is here, like a rolling snowball going down hill it's getting bigger as we go. Folks are going to get to test their preps as we go.
I have almost exactly that (2019 F350)minus the payment. This increase really does hurt a bit so I'm leaning towards the motorcycle once the rain slows down.So if you have a new f350 with the largest gas tank and run it down to eight gallons it cost's $210 to fill it up.
A tank a week plus $800 monthly payment, insurance and maintenance is $1,800 a month to operate the vehicle. Better be a business expense at that point.
