Yesterday Nevada's Attorney General deemed a new Nevada
law passed on November 8 requiring background checks on
private gun sales unenforceable. The law was to have gone into
effect January 1, 2017.
The ballot initiative called "Question 1" required all private

Based on my research, it seems the private sales background check does not apply if I want to sell to my (blood) sister since she is a direct family member? We even have the same last name still.

Anyone know or have a quess as to antique firearms and Oregon's new law?
C&R's have been discussed and it seems that the consensus is that C&R isn't worth anything in private transactions. I've had talks with various Oregon FFLs and they believe that the C&R is still good when buying from them...
For the sake of spirited discussion. I rarely have an original idea so I am sure this has been brought-up before. With the perspective that the right to bear arms is protected, and should be extended to all who's rights remain intact. Why is there not a solid background evaluation and...

Personally, I have no problem with universal bg checks, but I doubt they would be nearly as effective as the researchers suggest.
Afternoon, everyone!
I work at an FFL in Oregon, and we've been trying to get ahold of OSP or the ATF all day (with no success) to answer this question:
If an individual is delayed and eventually approved, from which date (of delay or approval) do they have 30 days to pick up their firearm...
