The points of the compass are an evenly spaced set of horizontal directions (or azimuths) used in navigation and geography. A compass rose is primarily composed of four cardinal directions—north, east, south, and west—each separated by 90 degrees, and secondarily divided by four ordinal (intercardinal) directions—northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest—each located halfway between two cardinal directions. Some disciplines such as meteorology and navigation further divide the compass with additional azimuths. Within European tradition, a fully defined compass has 32 'points' (and any finer subdivisions are described in fractions of points).Compass points are valuable in that they allow a user to refer to a specific azimuth in a colloquial fashion, without having to compute or remember degrees.

The way we categorize threads and separate the sections here has been mentioned quite a few times in the replies to the feedback request conversation I sent back in June. I created the image below to make sure everyone is on the same page as far as what's what. I'd like to use this thread to...
UPDATE: These are now available!
After many years of attempting to put this together it's looking like this may finally happen! If everything goes according to plan we should soon have our first batch of AR15 stripped lowers engraved with the Northwest Firearms logo (seen in the top left corner...
I've started to order parts for my first AR15 build which I'm dubbing the Northwest AR15 since the majority of the major parts are from companies either in the Northwest or owned by companies in the Northwest.
Here's the parts list:

I was out in the woods in my area last Sunday scouting for trash to be cleaned up next weekend. I stopped at all shooting sites and talked with shooters. Most of them were families with kids. Great to see!
Out of the 24 people I talked with, 18 said they were familiar with NWFA. 4 said they...
Here I am in the Northeast on the Northwest. Shooter since 14. LEO since 21, now retired. Mostly pistol shootin' once a week. Just watching the sights and the sites.
Kicking around marketing and merchandising plan for which we need some feedback! Simple public poll to get a feel for what our membership thinks of these.
Any additional information is helpful!
Most of you have seen and read The Atmosphere of Northwest Firearms. My inbox currently holds 376 conversations pertaining to this; an incredible amount of feedback. I've read all of them, and starting today I'm going to do my best to reply to each of them. I appreciate all of you who took the...
I feel the need to address the community due to what appears to be some misunderstanding about what Northwest Firearms is and is not.
To put it plainly, the current atmosphere in many parts of this site is downright toxic. I've said many times before that this liberal vs conservative...
So I've been looking for a newer model used vehicle and found one I really like a lot visually at this place. Cleaned my vehicle up today, got oil changed and talked to my mechanic and told him I was thinking of driving couple hours to buy or trade but was anxious about it due to not having...
New to forums, new(ish) to prepping. What is the best place in the PNW to bug out? I have family in the Dakotas, so for a natural disaster I would probably head that way. But what about a more tactical situation?
I currently have a 97 K/C 1500 z71, so I have some mobility off road, however with...
