One opinion of mine, yes just one, is that the price of .22lr ammo is too danged high and they are too scarce. Uh, just testing the water temp. ;)

Great and incisive question jbett98. Several responses if you have the time. Firstly, since I'm a retired LEO, the law allows me to carry my 15 round magazine utilized by my service pistol which was and is a S&W M&P 5946. The recent changes by Federal "decree" now allows private citizens to carry a ten round magazine, but just before that they could not, so I could not as well. I would like to purchase an XD-45 Mod. 2 which includes a thirteen round mag along with the 9 round mag, so the thirteen is disallowed. I believe the idiots in Albany, those who aren't presently in prison, and who passed this SAFE ACT (what a misnomer) overnight, without any public FORUM, like we have here, have their heads in a dark place and wonder why they have ring around the collar. As you know this mag cap fiasco is just a placebo for the public and an offshoot of the high cap fears of so-called "assault weapons," which is why my Uzi Carbine resides out of state. It's quite obvious that these "safe" laws are only political pandering to The Left, just like all other asinine rules, regulations and bills which basically bring the Libs into one's living room, bedroom and now bathroom. It's kind of a combination of a perverse and pornographic portrayal of politics. If you really want to know what I think, I'll provide a follow-up post.
