Arizona (/ɛrɪˈzoʊnə/; /ærɪˈzoʊnə/) (Navajo: Hoozdo Hahoodzo [xòːztò xɑ̀xòːtsò]; O'odham: Alĭ ṣonak [ˡaɺi ˡʃonak]) is a state in the southwestern region of the United States. It is also part of the Western United States and of the Mountain West states. It is the sixth largest and the 14th most populous of the 50 states. Its capital and largest city is Phoenix. Arizona is one of the Four Corners states. It has borders with New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, and Mexico, and one point in common with the southwestern corner of Colorado. Arizona's border with Mexico is 389 miles (626 km) long, on the northern border of the Mexican states of Sonora and Baja California.
Arizona is the 48th state and last of the contiguous states to be admitted to the Union, achieving statehood on February 14, 1912. Historically part of the territory of Alta California in New Spain, it became part of independent Mexico in 1821. After being defeated in the Mexican–American War, Mexico ceded much of this territory to the United States in 1848. The southernmost portion of the state was acquired in 1853 through the Gadsden Purchase.
Southern Arizona is known for its desert climate, with very hot summers and mild winters. Northern Arizona features forests of pine, Douglas fir, and spruce trees; the Colorado Plateau; some mountain ranges (such as the San Francisco Mountains); as well as large, deep canyons, with much more moderate summer temperatures and significant winter snowfalls. There are ski resorts in the areas of Flagstaff, Alpine, and Tucson. In addition to the Grand Canyon National Park, there are several national forests, national parks, and national monuments.
About one-quarter of the state is made up of Indian reservations that serve as the home of 27 federally recognized Native American tribes, including the Navajo Nation, the largest in the state and the United States, with more than 300,000 citizens. Although federal law gave all Native Americans the right to vote in 1924, Arizona excluded those living on reservations from voting until its state Supreme Court ruled in 1948 in favor of Native American plaintiffs.
Hey all, I’m looking to get my dad a wheel gun for Xmas this year. I live in OR but would be flying down to AZ to gift it.
AZ doesn’t require BG checks for private sales and it seems like I should be in the clear here...but got unsure about things when it came to crossing state lines.
Does...
Anyone have real world experience with these? Anyone now of a similar device in concept that I should look at? They aren't cheap by any definition and they cost more than the conventional generator we installed some years back. (As they become more common, I hope the price goes down.)
As the...

I've always had thick, unruly, hair. It may have patches of gray now, but it is still just as much so as in the past. I long ago gave up on any "dry look" and slick it straight back. I've tried various dressings (and similar) over the years, but the two that stuck as stables are Tres Flores...
Hey ya'll.
I haven't posted a ton, but have definitely gotten some good advice and help from some of ya'll, and have enjoyed the community here.
Unfortunately, I had a life change that forced a move to Arizona.
If anyone has advice for a similar (though obviously not as good as this...
Just a rant...
I am so sick of people that are ignorant of the geography of this great nation and the many varied states within.
Most of us here live in either Washington or Oregon and I ASSUME are familiar with the varied climates and ecosystems within our states. We know what Seattle and...
Hello, friends. Today I have been looking at Arizona lands. Some are most interesting and I will to narrow them down soon. While I am looking at the regular sites (e.g., Land Watch, Farm Seller, Zillow, et al.), I figured I'd toss it out there in the event someone has a parcel to sell, knows...

Good Morning
@Joe Link do we/you have a web site in the Phoenix area? I am looking into it for my son in law who wants to become more involved in the cause but lives north of Phoenix.
He currently doesn't own any firearms but would like to start purchasing some as he can afford it. We went...
I sent my Arizona CWP application off in the mail today. I sent Utah off the day before yesterday. We'll see which one I get first. I already have my Oregon CHL, but want to legally carry when I travel.
Do other OR residents on here have Utah, Arizona, or other out of state permits? Do you use...
