What OLD firearm would you like to see in a Modern Caliber?

A Winchester 92 derivative, very compact (16" barrel or thereabouts), and chambered in .50Æ. It has been done with modern incarnations with the .44 Magnum, so I believe the aforementioned could be doable. (Oh and no stupid top-mounted, manual safety.)

Indeed. One of my most favorite rifles is a Rossi 92, in .44 Magnum. So light, so handy, and 11 rounds of .44 Magnum on tap. I like to carry it when working the forest and the lower field. What else can a gentleman ask for? OK, maybe this not being there:

How's about a Colt automatic model 1903? These were chambered in .32 ACP, wouldn't mind seeing one in .380 or 9mm. Could be very interesting. Like the nostalgic lines, smooth and simple.

I think the Remington Model 8 is a really cool rifle...but it's chambered in essentially defunct calibers.

I'd love to see the Model 8 in a modern caliber (300 BLK would make sense but I think .357 would be way cool too)

Savage 1907 in 380 super, or 9X19...

Plus another vote for C-96 in an SBR/braced version, 357 sig or even 9X19. If it had to be SBR'd I'd even like 5.56 or 30 carbine in a scaled up version.

Uberti already offers the High wall in 30-40 and 270 Not sure if you can find an -06

In a High Wall action the 30-40 can be loaded to .308 balistics just as it can in the Winchester model 1895. Due to the Over strong actions in both.
I have a c1095 Model 1895 in 30-40 and get results within 50fps of what is published for similar loads in a .308 I am sure I could push those last 50fps.
