12 gauge - o/u
.300 AAC Blackout - AR rifle/pistol
9mm/.38 Special - it's a tie
.45 ACP/Long Colt - it's a close second
.22 lr in a Ruger 22/45 and S&W M&P 15/22

Guess just about all of them are favorites, I can't pick just one….

I like BIG Bullets ! :)

Revolver: 44 Magnum (my EDC caliber)

Semi-auto pistol: 45 ACP (got a lot of business done in Vietnam with it)

Bolt action rifle: 338 Lapua magnum (just a nice round for reaching out)

Lever action rifle: 44 Magnum (goes along with my EDC revolver)

Semi-auto rifle: 7.62X51 NATO (got a lot of business done in Vietnam with this too)

Pump and semi-auto shotgun: 12 gauge (verstility. Seems to be a load for just about every purpose)

40 cal fan for defense. If 380 was cheaper, it would be my favorite to shoot for pistols.

7.62x39 for rifles under 200 yards. Problem is, can't really scope an AK and AR47 are marginally reliable.

For me:
.500 Jeffery
.45/90
.405 Winchester
.375 Weatherby
.338 Lapua
.338 Winchester
.30/06
7mm Remington
6.5X55 Swede
.243 Winchester
.22/250
.22 LR

.45 Colt
.45 APC
.44 Remington
10mm auto
.357 Mag
.32 Colt
.25 Auto

If you haven't shot a rifle in .50 BMG, you're missing out. I don't shoot it as frequently as I'd like to

Going by what's in my safe, I think you'd be pretty safe in saying my favorite cartridge is 9mm.
