2020 is turning out to be an interesting year.

We have:

* A novel virus creating governmental and civil issues
* Pandemic ruining the state and federal economies
* Racial protests and rioting
* Hostility between socioeconomic and political proponents
* High unemployment
* Bernie Sanders Socialist Supporters, SJWs, and anti-America sentiment
* Heaven help us if we have another Cat 5 hurricane or other major natural disaster

It seems to me that if our enemies, Russia and China in particular, were of the mindset, it would not take much to cripple/defeat us right now. A cyber attack and a few tactical missles/nukes on a few major cities and DC would probably finish us as a first world super power.

Actually, I think in some ways we are stronger because people woke up with regards to preps. I know a number of people whose eyes were opened:

1) Preps - food, etc., because of CV-19

2) Preps - guns and ammo

3) Awareness.

On top of that, personally I would rather have people at home than at work if we were to be attacked.

Riots/SJWs/et. al. - that would possibly happen anyway if we were attacked, but I think it would probably stop. I think that there would be a LOT less tolerance for rioting/looting/etc.

People are also saving money. And enjoying the simple things.

I doubt anyone wants be the start of a nuclear war. Many nations may have a hatred for us but all of them know once we are off the map, things would be much much worse for everyone. We are the ones keeping the world stable even though we piss a lot of people off we still are the peace keepers. I'm not saying we are perfect China without us..LOL their economy collapses within weeks/months. We are the feeding trough for everyone as far as technology, science discoveries, medicine, etc, etc. They all steal from us because we develop more new tech than the rest of the world combined. You don't kill the hand that feeds you.

Yes, the country looks very weak on the international stage right now. If Trump wins the election, the riots and protest will get worse. Luckily we have several months to get ready for whatever is coming. If Biden wins, I expect more welfare and bailouts, also the economy will tank further simply because wall street is allergic to dems. Seems like either way we're gonna be screwed for a while. I'm sorry but It's hard to be optimistic. I've seen people lose their jobs, hours cut, departments consolidating, very slow workload, etc.

My wife and I were just talking about this "lose-lose" situation no matter the vote or outcome.

Russia and China aren't the only actors on the stage who might wish us harm. There are others, who have sworn to subjugate the world, who are more likely to push us over the edge.

In my view, we are living during the time described in the Bible, in Matthew 24. Prepare accordingly.

I tend to agree. We have seen many bad times throughout history, but it seems it continues to snowball. Add social media, pseudo news and journalism, and gonzo reporting just helps it to spread faster and create more division to keep the chaos more intense. The bible shows it only continues to get worse until He decides to end it.

I want to believe the US is still the "Greatest nation on God's green earth" and is made up of those wanting to be a part of this and contribute to something bigger than themselves. I also want to believe we are the "melting pot"have lost the ability to listen, compromise, work together, etc. that brings the best of people together to work togwther for our betterment and enrichment. That is not to say we are perfect or that we haven't made some serious mistakes as all countries do, but rather than rewrite history, we learn and grow from it. We are eroding and decaying this faster and faster. Rather tha being "a proud American," it's African-America, Mexican-America,, rich or poor, left or right, and other hyphens and labels. This only serves to divide on differences rather than strengthening our identity as one country. We have lost the ability to listen, work together, compromise, take responsibility and accountability, learn from mistakes, and grow from it to be better. Thus, as this erodes, it makes us weaker, more susceptible, and easier to be overtaken. However, there have been many times when events have happened that do unite us even if for a short time: the beginning of the space race, Cold War Olympics, natural disasters, some wars, 9/11, etc.

juan williams on "The Five" airily dismissed the 'few incidents' that weren't peaceful.

An angry Greg Gutfeld went ballistic declaring juan was lying to the American public as Greg's was one of the many destroyed neighborhoods.

Incidently, last week Greg said due to the rioting, looting, burning of buildings by the so-called 'protestors' he bought a tactical Baretta shotgun (first time gun owner) and he and his wife took lessons how to use it.

Not a huge conspiracy theorist. Used to be, like 41Mag. However, money and organization is propelling all of the turmoil. Whose money? Has anyone here written a check for 1K to BLM? Does your employer offer matching funds if you donate to BLM? Are they accepting donations at each post office? Where are these millions coming from? And the timing of it all. Exactly. Spending ones whole life worrying about what-ifs is sad. To me anyway. If it's my time, I can look back fondly and know I did right. That's all that matters to me.
