Oh wait i think it just clicked what a5 meant, as in shotgun? Cuz thats actually a model 8 in 35rem now that i look at it they are pretty similar in appearance. Both designed by john browning if memory doesnt fail me
Isnt the A5 the gun he took to remington because he didnt want winchester shelving the patent for market advantage or something along those lines

And here i was thinking of touching on the impressively complex bolt and moving barrel of the model 8. Nope the magazine is easier

The A5 has a moving barrel too. But you're right on the rotating bolt
Pretty sure it's the only time JMB used an axially rotating component. Virtually all his other designs are 2D...not that that's a bad thing.

Also, that giant lever on the right side of the Model 8's receiver...forearm's different...front sight at end of model8's barrel....I might be nitpicking now.

Well dont forget about the handguard then. Oh also the model 8 is marked "model 8" on the reciever which is something you wont find on the a5

Bummer. Sorry to hear that. I understand. Ya do what ya gotta do. Hope you recoup and forge ahead. There's a lot of cool guns that need to be taken off the street and kept away from them that would hoard 'em! Us old guys won't be able to do it forever
