I am leaning towards trying that one first because the price is good and it appears to meet the dimensions I was after. This might work, I'm using it for my "Ruger Charger MWS" which has a 16.5" barrel.
18 in. x 6 in. x 13 in. Black Aluminum Case
Amazing deals on this 18In X 13In X 6In Aluminum Case Black at Harbor Freight. Quality tools & low prices.www.harborfreight.com
My only desire for the lock would be to meet storage law requirements. I will look at those. These are about your dimensions listed. I use them as a mobile shooting station. They do have padlock provisions, but I wouldn't consider them as secure as a Hardigg/Pelican.

That is a pretty sweet shooting station set up you have there. These are about your dimensions listed. I use them as a mobile shooting station. They do have padlock provisions, but I wouldn't consider them as secure as a Hardigg/Pelican.

This case costs about $25The only benefit to the SBR route would be, allowing me to purchase a smaller container. I still want a container/case that would allow me to be out in public with the firearm (where legally allowed) and not have people aware that I have the firearm in my possession. Not worth the stamp cost and hassle, especially on multiple firearms that will rarely be used.
Thanks for the link but I think that case is a little too thin.
