Interesting I assumed they were always sold with the quick release scopes. Looks like a GDR (East German) gun. That caveman symbol is used a lot on those guns (I believe it exists in a different form on earlier guns going way back like 1700s but I may be wrong). Caveman of Suhl I've heard it called.

6.5lb for a 3 barrel gun is pretty light, about a pound or so lighter than a modern mossberg 500 or an 870. If you see a GDR one for sale look for the proof mark circle with a 1 coming out of it, that's the highest quality (does not indicate highest grade model of that line of guns).
