SHTF.... Board game?

I was thinking along the lines of a rousing game of "see if we can trap a squirrel before we starve to death" or maybe "Hide all our arms and supplies from the DHS" and possibly "Hide all the females and small boys from the UN Peacekeepers".

The title of this thread made me think someone wanted to develop a SHTF role playing game -- not a request for a list of games to have on hand to pass the time. ;-)

I just need a deck of cards. That way I could play with myself. And I could play solitaire too.

Bananagrams. Man is that game addicting. All the scrabble-like letters come inside a banana shaped pouch for easy transportation. That would be my go-to game.

Several decks of cards and a crib board.
Although I have to admit that i really like the idea of playing a ton of D&D again. I used to make up my own campaigns, worlds, etc.

Same here; that was the best part.

I should make up a little chart like:

1. Cascadia Subduction Zone Earthquake
2. Regional Pandemic (with or without zombies at some point)
3. EMP
4. Dirty Bomb
5. China/Russian Invasion
6. Hurricane with floods

Roll a 6 sider, then using D&D Character sheets, play a scenarios above as D&D characters... Could be interesting. "Disasters & Dragons" or something. ;-)

"I'll cast my level 3 soil deliquification spell."

"I'll whack the looter with my +3 long sword."

etc, etc, etc...
