Just to note that they are, uh, 'exciting' to shoot. Empties seemed to fly about fifty feet in the one that I had...also, mrs tac, an experienced handgunner, just could not cock the thing at all.

Enjoy for us!

Mr.Tac

I have to say you were not kidding when you said these Astra 400 pistols were 'exciting' to shoot!
I had brass flying up and away in to the next county and the recoil was pretty firm
shooting 38 auto reloads was actually quite fun but when I opened up a box of the 1963 manufactured 9mm largo ammo I picked up at the gunshow well lets just say I was surprised at the force with which that round made the pistol recoil!
I was actually hoping to save some of the spent shells but after the first couple of mags it became apparent that I wouldnt easily find any of the shells.
very fun to shoot though!

I have owned a few mosin's the 91/30 was actually the first rifle I bought when I came to America, I picked it up at Big 5 for $89 dollars
and then owned two other 91/30's an m44 and m38, It has been almost 3 years since I last had a Mosin in the safe, I stopped by my local gunstore on saturday to buy a pistolgrip for my AR15 but saw this very clean looking m44 russian on the wall
needless to say it came home with me

the bore on this rifle is excellent and the finish on the metal is perfect (almost to perfect) so im thinking its been reblued
the wood was totally stripped when i got it so i hit with a can of clearcoat prolly should of stained it first.

anyways im super happy to have another Mosin, shoot my buddys 91/30 yesterday and man they are fun! the simple pleasures in life!
this one is missing the bayonet but it actually feels better without it (more like my old m38 i stupidly sold)

the book and knife in the picture are just there for fun -how to stay alive in the woods (cuz city folks like me need that type of reading) and the knife is just a buck actually given to me by a friend who is no longer with us.

the rounds in this picture are some old stuff i have had for a while, green stripe on the bullet and green paint on the primer, Bulgarian?

need to get me one of those 440 round spam cans, last time a bought one was $90 dollars guess im looking at more like $200 now huh?

Good times!

Colt Ace and Combat Commander huh? Could you give me the location of this "boating accident"? ;)

image.jpeg Here's the new Colt Delta Elite XE I picked up last week. Before firing it I had Tussey Customs re-bead blast it with glass, replaced the cheesy, plastic MSH with an Ed Brown; recoil guide rod with one from Fusion, recoil spring with a Wolff 20 pounder, and gaboon ebony grips from Esmarelda.

First gun i have ever owned. Not the only one but i like it :) .....when its not destroying my shoulder. Thanks grandpa!

Nice gun! -b

Your shoulder will love a Winchester Limbsaver on that gun.
The picture I am posting here are my H&R and my brother's Stevens.
My gun is the one on top...noticed the black "sleeve" on the butt of that gun.
...Winchester Limbsaver...
Mine is a slip-on and I sized it by choosing the "H&R" option. Seems these days they offer it in measured sizes. Your gun will likely be a "medium" version, but measure first to be sure.
There are also "Prescision Fit" versions that attach with a couple of screws, like a traditional recoil pad does.
I'm tellin' ya, before the pad, I couldn't make it through a box of target loads without having to take a break with a bag of ice. Now I can blow off boxes of full-house high brass loads with no ill effects whatsoever (sorry, I own no mags, but I'm sure it will handle them as well).
NOTE: The slip-on version will add about 1.5" to the length of pull, so check how you fit to the gun and make any necessary adjustments....or have a gunsmith handle it.
Mine was about $20-$25 at Sportsman's Warehouse.
I feel it is well worth it.

Gonna get her chromed like the one below [one below not mine, posted as example]

Went shooting with my son who just bought a SA MC operator 1911. Shot it and fell in love.

Did some research and found out about the TRP Operator 1911, Loved the look. Decided if I ever found a good deal I would get one but never really figured I would, then at the LGS, I asked the wrong question and got the answer I did not expect, ya, we can get you one and for this [super low] price. Oh shi.... OK, I'll take it...

Now after I pay off the CC bill, I'm going to send her off to the SA custom shop for a little work and some chrome like the one above.

That hard chrome look with the full rail, that is the most baddazz thing I ever seen...

Bought the TRP in late 2015, since then I also bought a bare bones Colt LE6920 AR and built it out, a Kel-tec P11 and just traded a SA XD .45 for a Ruger SR9c.

Picked this up today-

CZ 75 DB 9MM

first CZ pistol I have owned that wasn't a surplus gun (I still miss the CZ82 pistols I had and regretfully sold)

I like the looks so the CZ 75 appears to me like a cross between the BrowningHP and WaltherP88

*man I wish I could find/afford a Walther P88
