Few details so far, but hints that it is yet another terror operation

Munich police said there appears to be at least one suspect, but authorities would not confirm if any suspects are in custody or on the loose.

City police alerted the public that there is a large police operation, and asked that people avoid the area around the shopping center.

Law enforcement officers are responding in large numbers. German media say multiple people are injured.

It's the second attack in Germany in less than a week. On Monday, a 17-year-old Afghan wounded four people in an ax-and-knife attack on a regional train near the Bavarian city of Wuerzburg, and another woman outside as he fled. All survived, although one man from the train remains in life-threatening condition. The attacker was shot and killed by police.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the train attack, but authorities have said the teen likely acted alone.

The Associated Press contributed to this report "

All this, and yet far too few will recognize these attacks for what they really are, and what they are motivated by. People will simply continue to be killed over sheer ignorance of the truth and refusal to see evil for what it really is. Sad, but this is what we as a global society are bringing on ourselves.

And here at home, we'll demand even more restrictions on people like us, that have nothing whatsoever to do with these types of attacks.

There seems to be plenty of young enthusiastic men wanting to battle for something instead of for their homeland. Go there. Battle there. Even here in the US this is the summer of riots and protest but there is no next step. Now that they have killed police and other innocent people (as well as themselves), all that's left is a trail of dead people.

German gun laws: German Gun Laws - The Truth About Guns (http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2011/03/oliver-weiss/german-gun-laws/)

It's highly unlikely the shooter used a legal gun, and shows how even very draconian gun laws prevent nothing, just as was shown in the Paris attacks where gun ownership is virtually impossible. Somehow you know that Obama and Hillary will still use this to their political advantage in their campaign to disarm law abiding citizens.

I don't know about that as they can have MP5's in Germany, but your probably right as the people doing the shooting wouldn't want to bring undue attention on themselves.

Hopefully they don't blow up that mall like another one was.
One source I saw said a whole lot of people are dead. It'll take a while.
Prayers.

This attack follows a less serious axe attack that also happened in Bavaria just 3 days ago on a train. In that case, a 17 yr old Afghan refugee who dedicated himself to ISIS attacked people with an axe. He seriously wounded several people before police shot him dead.

Here is some info on that attack:

Update: More Details Emerge About Attack On German Train (http://www.refinery29.com/2016/07/117189/german-train-axe-attack)

Shockingly, CNN noted that the German government has distributed most of the Muslim refugees from the Syrian war in Bavaria, which is the state that Munich is located in.

Did the German government do this to the German people?

What does this bode for bringing Syrian refugees to the USA??
.

People noted that the attack in Munich took place not long after people poured out of the congregational Friday prayers at the local Mosques.

The shooters are reported to all be dressed in black, and using semiautomatic pistols.

Here is a cell phone image of one of them ( on the right edge of the photo ) opening fire on people as they try to flee:

Looks like we are going to have to ban ownership of handguns too, in order to stop these terror attacks.

This just doesn't happen in other countries.o_O

I think we as citizens of the free(ish) world are nearing the point where we demand our "leaders" deal with this scourge lest they be removed. And I don't mean by disarming the law abiding.
