DeanMK posted a picture of 404 Jeffery and .505 Gibbs rounds. Dang huge and no doubt dang huge recoil that goes with them. That said, he got my curiosity about NWFA members and which rifles in your respective arsenals are the largest caliber; and what do you use it for? I'll start by saying my largest is a M70 416 Remington Magnum, and truth is I don't hunt with it... yet. Africa someday? (doubtful)

My largest caliber rifle is a Rossi Circuit Judge in .45 LC. But if I was gonna chase grizzlies, I'd probably opt for my .300 Weatherby Magnum. I don't own any true African hunt guns, but have never had a hankering to go there either.

My bpcr rifle is 45-70. Not huge, but I load a 545g bullet in it.
I'm also building a .62 cal hawken rifle. The ammo for that looks like a bowling ball!

A antique , J.Henry .58 caliber flintlock Trade Rifle...circa 1800 - 1820's.
Still take it out shooting and hunting at times...got my last elk with it.
I use a .570 round ball.

Speaking of large caliber rifles, I wish I could have purchased a brand new CZ 550 in .375 H&H before it was discontinued! I would buy one now, if I could get my hands on one!

.510

.50 BMG is my largest but it isn't very exotic. My largest hunting rifle is a .375 Ruger.

My largest rifle caliber is 0.308". The most powerful cartridge I've owned in that caliber is 300 Winchester Magnum, but currently have one rifle chambered in 308 Winchester.

What is this? Amateur hour? I have the venerable anti tank cruise missile hydrogen death dealing fully semi pump matic 6,000 rounds per second 12 gauge shotgun with 300 round death and destruction belt fed clipazine!

Amateurs!

Ok so I do have a 45-70 Henry

.577 Snider, actually .600".
