Well it depends on what type of Doctor you are. If your a family doc, you could maybe get lucky and land a doc baker job in salmon, or council, or cascade. If you want to live near Boise, look around the foothills of Eagle. If you really want to live near mountains that will rock your world, live near driggs. The Tetons are in your backyard.

Where is a good place to move in Idaho? Preferably with mountains

Yeah northern ID fits that to a t. CDA is beautiful and has tons to offer. There are extremely affluent areas (big big money) and blue collar areas and everything in between. Urban sprawl has taken a toll in recent years with pretty much uninterrupted city from Spokane valley to CDA with tweaker and drugs moving freely between but that seems to be everywhere these days. Bonners Ferry, Priest River, and Sandpoint are all super nice and small but easy driving distance to big cities with bug city amenities.

when I grew up in Montana we joked that North Idaho was where the Nazi's were. They still up there?

The Aryan Nations got ran out a few years back but there are still remnants lingering. You don't hear much about it these days. I know a couple black people who live in N ID and they don't seem to have issues.

I would have to say yes, hard to exterminate the cock roaches.
Back in 85 when I was working a contract telephone job out of Harden lake we were staying at a campground up the mountain and it was overwhelmed with undercover ABC agency officers. We found out that it was the week that the Nazis had their yearly pow wow, on the other side of the mountain!!!!
Twas a very tense week for sure.

For me, I hate trees surrounding me. So southern Idaho is my thing. I prefer living in the ag areas. If I had 10 million in the bank, I'd live somewhere between Missoula and great falls.

In 2010 during the Crash with the economy in the tank.... I tried finding work in the tool & die field from Caldwell to Boise with NO luck.

How's the Tooling trade now in that area.... would like to hear if anybody knows?

My friend's kid (40 sumpton) doesn't work in that trade anymore because of lack of work....a few years ago. But it may have changed since then.He didn't want to move west to stay in that field
He worked for one of the knife makers over there
Now here in Salmon,if you are in the construction trades,of any kind, you must have knowledge in everything from farming to home repairs to make a living. There are a few specialists but most guys will do most any type job.

Or run up Hwy 12 out of Clarkston. 12 runs up to Missoula. Personally, after 46 years in Oregon and raising 6 kids, I can't justify handing over my tax dollars to megalomaniacs who have destroyed the schools, force their demogogory down our kids throats but provide no education, attack our liberty at every turn, ensure sanctuary to illegals, and send trained killers to mow down white protestors, but allow the "Occupy" pukes to run the streets. I'm done. They won't miss my tax money, but since people like me have no voice in Oregon, at least they don't get my support.

He forgot to mention posting THESE everywhere....

What happens to out of staters that bought Idaho CCW for the reciprocity. Are they still honored by the other states and will they be renewable?
The current CCW will not change and the enhanced CCW will also be available and remain intact, all for reciprocity reasons. When the governor signed it, he said he supports it but encouraged training for all that will carry.

I just can't understand why people vote for politicians that are taking our rights away

1) Politicians lie about what they are going to do.
2) Even if they are decent, they are inevitably corrupted by power.
3) Anyway all politicians take rights away, even the so-called "good" ones.

Portland has plenty of critters too

My wife and I were assaulted by racist skinheads, right down in the Park Blocks of Portland, years ago. It's the big cities that are full of nut cases, not northern Idaho towns.

Congrats, Idaho folks! :)

Two in the win column, including Idaho:
SAF scores court victory in N. Marianas; Idaho to enjoy 'permitless carry'

Second Amendment organizations have posted two major victories over the past few days, including this morning's win in the Northern Mariana Islands that found a federal judge declaring the commonwealth's gun control law unconstitutional.

in Idaho it's always been legal to conceal carry outside the city limits.
Well, now it's legal to conceal carry in the cities.
NO permit required.
God bless this State!

Idaho...my first choice for a retirement location! Their liquor is cheaper...too.

I may have to give it some serious thought in a couple years...until then, I need to continue supporting Uncle Jay :-(
