Are Gun Prices Really Going To Go Up If Hillary Is Elected?

I just saw can't remember where but they are saying that gun prices are going to go up if you know who gets elected, how bad do you think it will be? Do you think that if she gets "emergency" bills passed they could sky rocket, could SHTF and all out civil war start, could it lead to martial law? I'm really concerned about how this is going to affect us all. Sorry was in hurry should have read "Go Up" After thought, if the bills call for confiscation I was just telling my wife what Sheriff is going to order to his deputies to confiscate guns? It has to lead to a conflict I think.

If she is elected, she will not rock the boat on guns until the open spot in the Supreme Court is filled. I assume some shortages for a few months from Nov to March.

I have to say I'm no fan of Hillary but the world we live in changes. You may want to focus your frustrations at her, but you have to realize there has been some tragic events. They are the cause for the momentum. Nobody want that kind of violence where they live, it's time to be mature about the issues.
I feel like with Hillary I may lose my 30rd mags.
But with Trump I feel like I will lose everything else.

Couldn't disagree more with the entire body of your assertions. With Hillary and the coven, the tragic events you mention are not the cause, they are the excuse.
If being "mature" means naively accepting another obvious socialist regime, I'll keep my tinker toys (if you are old enough to remember what those were).
Whatever Trump may bring us has to be preferable to another Clinton/Obama nightmare.

One candidate has many times talked about Australia type gun control as a model, which is taking every firearm from citizens including your hunting rifle. I have been to Australia and they chopped them in half with a saw in the back of a truck out side of the gun stores. FACT.
One candidate wants to bring in 500,000 people from other countries who don't shair our values and want to transform us. One candidate says they represent "normal people" but videos show them instigating violence against people at rallies resulting in people getting hurt. This candidate wears pant suits styled after 3rd world dictators and communists.
Only one candidate says he is for the 2nd Amendment, wants to build something and has a record of getting things done.

I was about to open a thread when I realized this thread is fairly related to the question....

Has anyone recently noticed any panicky behavior by buyers/sellers in the classifieds ? ... I.E. price gouging, sellers selling off an item already promised in an earlier deal etc.

I just had two deals fall apart today and am beginning to wonder if there is any connection with pre-election panic buying and selling.

The first one..I have no right to gripe about as a deal was not finalized with the seller... it just was a case of I snoozed and loosed.

Deal two however....involves an item that I had already settled on with the seller. All that remained was to set up an FTF time for the purchase, which I left to the seller to name as I had an open schedule. Today I noticed the item was sold without so much as any attempt to contact me. This after I passed on a similar deal earlier in the week, as I assumed I already had a done deal.

My experience of dealing with members here has always been positive. Am I expecting too much for some common courtesy and ethics from a fellow member here...or is this a sign of the new normal in these coming times ?

That sucks! I would have to say that the vast majority of the members here are great and honest people.

There will always be the few but I wouldn't expect this to be the new norm.

Yep I built an AR just to sell after she becomes president. Am I cynical or what?!

I'm guessing on-line sales of ammo and or parts could become casualties in fairly short order. Limits could be placed on how much ammo you could buy at a time, increased taxes and fees, limit interstate on-line ammo sales, make ammo sales subject to background checks and face-to-face at a gun shop only. States, counties, or cities could impose increased taxes for guns and ammo. And the old standbys still apply, registration, then taxation per firearm owned, then maybe confiscation.

So, like others have said, get what you need now. Firearms, ammo (self defense AND practice), parts, cleaning supplies. Anything you need now, or might need in the future ...... get it. There may come a time when even trying to shoot a little will become nearly impossible because of the inability to re-supply even just your ammo. Many people say a minimum of 1000 rounds per firearm. I read 1000 rounds per firearm you don't use and an additional 1000 rounds that you use and practice with and replenish as needed. Some say more, some say less. But if you cannot get something like toilet paper in Venezuela, then you can never have too much when you can't get it.

This is in addition to everything else not even related to firearms you might need.

Interesting times we live in.

I'm okay with using a hose and wash clothe and when times get rough I'll grab the leaves laying around. Bring it on Venzy.

Look at stripped AR lowers, prices have risen 20% in the last 2 months. And don't confuse this for a scare, it's time to buy while you can and have it when you need it.
