Alan from A Cut Above Pawn here. As of today, 11/12/2022, we have notified all online vendors that we will not be able to receive orders placed effective immediately. We are doing this because the large amount of firearms arriving are quickly taking up every inch of storage we have. This should...
I have a few question on transfers of lower receivers. Do they need to be classified as pistol or rifle on transfer? The reason that I ask is that I've recently bought two receivers, and the transfers are different (same receiving FFL)
1) Uzi semi receiver (McKay) - Shows "Pistol Transfer"...
Hi All,
I’m hoping to clarify my understanding of WA state law regarding private transfers of pistols. Specifically, my understanding is that if a “complete” firearm is being transferred, then WSP runs the background check and includes psychiatric history, as well as criminal history, and a...
Hi all, I'm looking to purchase several cans and was wondering where you guys go for NFA transfers. I live in the Tacoma area and am willing to drive a bit if the transfer fees are reasonable. Are there any homebrew FFLs you guys know of?
Just found out my go to FFL guy retired at the end of last year so I am now looking for a new one. Looking for a low key, decent priced honest alternative within 20 miles or so of Stanwood/Camano Island area. Willing to pay $35 for a transfer but probably not $50. Let me know who you use and...
As a Washington resident, I am motivated to purchase long guns in Oregon (even more so after the passage of 1639) to save on sales tax, but if I want to purchase a pistol, I of course have to do so in WA. I recently bought a a new pistol and had to pay around $50 in tax, and after doing this for...
A Google search shows the go to gun shops are either closed on weekends (Orco) or don't do private transfers (Hole in the Wall).
Does anyone know of a home based FFL or any other shops in the area that are open for a private transfer on a Saturday or Sunday?
Thanks for any information.
It seems that most places where one can get an FFL transfer also sell their own guns, and so they have ridiculous (IMO) fees.
It doesn't seem like its that hard to get FFL certified, so why doesn't anyone specialize in FFL transfers and become the place for online shoppers to go pick up their...
Does anyone know how to transfer firearms to family members? I want to buy a handgun from my first cousin. I am under 21 and this is one of the only ways for me to own a handgun. Is there any legal hoops I need to jump through like talking to a lawyer or does he just write a bill of sale? As...
I looked around the web and couldn't find an answer to my question. Then I found you fine folks and decided to give it a spin here.
The situation:
In 2015, I had several firearms stolen from my apartment. I legally owned all of these firearms. A proper police report was made listing all said...
I live in Oregon and have a gentleman that wants to purchase a couple of my firearms. He claims that he can’t locate a FFL in the Vancouver area that will do a private transfer. Is this what Washington residents are currently facing?

I'd thought I'd ask people here if they have had experiences with gunshops etc. holding onto firearms longer than the minimum wait period time as required by law. I've always wondered why they do that stuff in the first place.
Also, does it make sense to have a shop say they will not hold onto...
Can anyone give me some insight on how I would go about selling a pew pew online?
would I transfer from my FFL to theirs in a different state so long as state laws are followed?
I have a friend in a different state who wants to pick up one of my pews but im unaware of how to finalize the...
Just curious if anyone has transferred a bolt action rifle recently. I called my local FFL just to be safe and he said there could be a 10 day to two week wait for the background check to clear. Is there a big difference in doing the transfer in Washington as opposed to Oregon. The last time I...
Has anybody here had an FFL deny performing a transfer for an AR/AK type of pistol since this ATF threat nonsense begin?
If you here of any denying to transfer them please share it here.
