sporterized
Sporterising, sporterisation, or sporterization refers to the practice of modifying military-type firearms either to make them suitable for civilian sporting use or to make them legal under the law.
We've had this in the family for quite some time.
My grandfather had brought it and a very nice 6.5 Arisaka (unmolested) back from the war.
This one has been a family deer rifle, and uses 30-06.
Nobody really knows what it's chambered in, but it was rumored to be something like an Ackley...
Hi all,
I took this gun as part of a larger trade a while back. I plan to keep the no 1 mk3 star I have and don't need another hunting rifle so this one is up for sale.
For the right person if should be fairly easy to convert this back to original configuration by replacing the front site back...
I want to build a Mosin-Nagant Obrez because I'm fascinated by something that is so goofy and impractical by today's standards but that served a legitimate purpose back when it was used. Plus, who doesn't like giant fireballs?
But I'm not an animal, so I'm not going to butcher a perfectly good...
I have a dumb project I want to try out that will be based on a Lee-Enfield, but I would never tear apart an original-condition rifle.
So sell me your LE that's already sporterized or has already lost its barrel and/or stock. Or that has a barrel in garbage condition. As long as the receiver is...
Swedish Mauser - 6.5 x 55mm Carl Gustafs Stads 1916 Sporterized.
Good condition. Great Mauser action. 18" barrel. Some blemishes on the stock and bluing but overall it has a good appearance.
Mostly matching numbers. Only the bolt is miss-matched that I can see. Good range and hunting...
Hey guys,
For sale is this sporterized K31. I've had this for years and never used or shot it.
I think it is 7.5 swiss but it very well could have been re-barreled so buyer to do due diligence.
Bore is shiny with good rifling.
Comes with the 3x scope. More pics available on request, but this...
Have two sportized rifles, ones a mark 5 Jungle Carbine. All matching serial numbers but some idiot before me took the flash hider off. Besides that it’s an original Jungle Carbine. The scope does not belong on it. The other I think is a mark 4 sportized with a black Monte Carlo stock I think...
Hi All -
I'm on the hunt for the following milsurp bolt action rifles, in no particular order:

British Enfield or M1917
Arisaka
Mauser variants
Maybe something else?
I'm looking for shooters, so external condition is not terribly important, but they must be functional and...

Santa Fe Model 1944 Sporter Enfield .303 British
For sale/Trade. Open to counter offers.
Comes with 10 round magazine.
Have fired maybe 10 rounds through it. Very accurate and Comfortable to Shoot.
Another nostalgia-is-a-hell-of-a-drug piece for me that I have had forever, I've never shot it and I'm not likely to anytime soon
Had to believe it now, but once upon a time in 'Merica! off the shelf rifles didn't shoot 1/4" groups with factory ammo, 500+ yard shots where NOT the norm, and...

No 4 Mk1 British Enfield in .303 in a composite stock.
Great shooter, accurate at 100 plus yards. No rust.
I have the original stock, but unfortunately bubba got to it before I did, so I dropped it in a composite stock and was going to take it hunting. I haven’t gotten around to getting it...
This is a very nice 1903, did the stock work myself. Pederson model. Was told by a reputable Smith that it is a match rifle. 3.5 pound crisp trigger. Older redfiled fixed 4 power. Original cut down stock and sling included. Package deal includes brass, dies and some bullets. Several boxes...
