1917 enfield
The M1917 Enfield, the "American Enfield", formally named "United States Rifle, cal .30, Model of 1917" is an American modification and production of the .303-inch (7.7 mm) Pattern 1914 Enfield (P14) rifle (listed in British Service as Rifle No. 3), which was developed and manufactured during the period 1917–1918. Numerically, it was the main rifle used by the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe during World War I. For Sale is a WWI Eddystone 1917 Enfield in .30-06. Barrel is dated 09/18. Don’t know much about as was inherited. Can take more pictures on request. Will Ship. Asking $900
The rifle was mfg in 1918. The rear sight is missing but there is a Williams ramp there. The barreled action otherwise hasn’t seen bubba except for the D&T broken tap. The bore is bright with strong rifling. It lives in a Bishop stock. $225 in Corvallis.
Sadly I must part with this gorgeous 106 year old piece of history. As stated in the title, it is a 1917 Eddystone in .30-06. Has a May 1918 dated barrel and "E" stamps throughout. Metal is in good shape with no deep pitting or rust, and original bluing is present in many of the less handled...
