There's a few ways "advanced ai" could go.

"Destroy and utilize all life on Earth, and utilize resources until its own extinction" would be the bad ending.

"Preserve the biomass of the Earth, exit to the stars, starting with the Moon and colonize the Solar System with AI civilizations and treat some humans as zoo animals" eh, some people would be OK with that

"Help humanity preserve the Earth and help them colonize the Stars, starting with Mars" this would be an OK ending, but smacks of Star Trek idealism.

Regardless of the ending; ai would still be dependent on resources, and it cannot violate known physics and quantum mechanics, so will be forever limited to that unlike human imagination, actually, true intelligence could require having an imagination that violates physics and quantum mechanics...

Edit; they're still gonna be limited by the knowledge and the same data available to humans and they may not be able to conceptualize esoteric ideas and abstract thinking for quite a while until AI can start real, honest thinking and emotional reactions.

Whenever I read some crap on here that seems like 'planted information' I check the join date and activity and it is consistently someone who joined a while ago and has next to no activity.

Like the entire purpose of joining was to inject a particular statement or viewpoint and then that fester, but who has no other purpose of being here which is why the activity is next to nothing.
Noted you have no rebuttal related to the topic. 🤷‍♂️

The left needs to be kept on edge. Therefore, time for a social media "press release"

Nah, you missed it entirely. It was a commentary that some people injecting comments of a questionable nature seem to have join date compared to minimal activity information that suggests their usage of this forum is to plant divisive commentary.
You'll note, however. that is not the topic of this thread. 🤷‍♂️

A "weapon of war" to me is an Apache attack helicopter, vulcan cannon or the AC130 gunship. A pistol is just a pistol, and a rifle is just a rifle. Small arms, no matter how they operate, are only a tool that serves the military, law enforcement, and the common man alike. For the security of a free state, and defense from all enemies foriegn AND domestic.

Agree!

Explosive, crew served or crew serviced weapons...IMO.
