I'm prepping 1000 LC cases for 62 gr. 5.56 loads. Boring and laborious chore, but compared to $600.00 plus for a case of .223/5.56, I'm smiling all the way to the bank.

Yesterday I filled a couple pints with
300 BKO , 110 Gr Vmax. 75 rounds per pint.
I didn't make the containers but I did empty them..

I took delivery on what was suppose to be 3000 lead bullets this week. I said "suppose to be 3000" because after picking through the broken and badly repackaged parcel that was placed into a postal tray. Cough, cough......thank you USPS.....Cough, cough. AND, oh wow.....floor sweepings were included. Including several pieces from a broken glass bottle remnant. So then.....the count comes up to only about 2400.

Whatever.....the USPS has NOT been able to deliver an unbroken bullet package to my door in a long while. I guess they just have too many people who don't give a $#@* anymore.

Aloha, Mark

I had 1500 rounds of .223 from Weidners delivered with a damage package that was dropping bullets from the carrier to the front door, there were over 50 missing.:mad::mad:

I've been trimming, chamfering and deburing about 1k .223 cases over the last week, sometimes a hundred, 200 etc, etc... finally got it done...
I've decided to get the drill operated Giraud Triway trimmer!!!!
Anyone want to buy my WFT???:s0140:

I own the Giraud tri-way and it is fantastic!!!!

cant recommend enough. I would suggest however some rubber dipped gloves (picture attached) they help so much with hand fatigue and I'm able to just crank out trimmed cases to my hearts content.

I wear Gorilla gloves with the soft rubber fingers and palms whenever I do this task, gettin older with arthritis sucks...

Started loading 1500 223 match ammo. 1500 Winchester fully prepped once fired brass. :D 1,000 77 SMK
and 500 77 TMK. Weighed charges of VV N140 powder from the RCBS charge master. CCI #41 primers.
All loaded to magazine length. This should last me for the 2021 matches. With these components it is
the most accurate ammo I can load.

Wow very nice set up @Bill Sahlberg
Federal Gold Match uses CFE-223? Interesting? I have never tried this powder in 308. In my experience it works OK
in the 223 but I get better accuracy with different powders. Many years of experimenting with different powders for 308
and 30/06 I have found IMR-4064 to be the most accurate. Does the Noslers 168s shoot as well as 168 SMKs? I wanted
to try them but the 168 SMKs are almost the same price? 308 with 168 SMK and IMR 4064. 5@ 100 yards.

I loaded a handful of .223 with a Nosler 34gr FBHP over 5gr of blue dot. I'm working on a Sage Rat round. I have a new rifle so all I managed was to get it sighted in at 25 yards. Here's the data from a friend that did a lot of work with blue dot a number of years ago. Not surprisingly this load was real quiet. I posted his lengthy report some time ago and if anyone wants it let me know.

35 grain Hornady V Max:

4 grs: 1284 fps
5 grs: 1488 fps
6 grs: 1862 fps
7 grs: 2163 fps
8 grs: 2392 fps

Lots of .45 ACP brass to process. Set up on the LnL with a Mighty "Shorty" universal decapper, a Lee sizer with the pin removed, and a Redding neck sizer/flare die. The white plastic bucket is processed, waiting for final wash and priming. More clean in the dryer, another 2k in the bags in the box, and finally, the shallow box I use to spray 'em down with One Shot, just before they go in the casefeeder a blue bin at a time.

Still working on my competition loads for 2021 to feed the 625, training starts back up for me Jan. 3!

Hmm, this batch of brass ( the box with bags) from "Brass King" has obviously been tumbled with pins... lots of stray pins mixed in. Good price, though. Just gonna run this through the media separator for a minute....
