If it is on HIS property and not particularly out in the middle of nowhere it cannot be ruled it out as being a rather large feral cat - on another forum a while back there was a similar picture and several measurements of the animal in relation to it's surroundings revealed to be a very large black feral cat - and not a 'black panther' as many thought!His property in northern Cali.

Yeah looks too big to be a Marten. Wolverines are kinda rare down that way. I bet the fish and wildlife guys down there would be interested in taking a look at that.

Looks like a Pine Martin to me. They get to be 1.5 to 2ft long. It's definately not a badger or wolverine.Had a friend send me these pictures.
