Just put most of my gear away for the year. Other than collecting quite a few grouse, I did my part in preserving the Oregon game species this year. I found a matching set of blacktail sheds back in July, but was unable to locate the original owner. I (unofficially) scored these sheds at just over 60 inches each. Figured he was probably a 140-inch caliber buck. Maybe next year. On the bright side, If I'd killed him where I found the sheds, I'd have paid hell getting him out of there. But a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. In my case that would be rounding up my 26 year-old son for help packing. (This year, my age is the inverse of his.)
