Just got back from a packed-out range this morning - I arrove at 10 and didn't get a lane to shoot in until half past eleven....then I got dragged over by my dear old buddy John C, to help him use up a few oddball cartridges he'd made uo for one of his Martini-Enfields. This is a genuine MkI, Enfield Lock-made and in .450-577" calibre. The pointy bullets are not typical, but they WERE handy, so they got put on top of 60gr of Triple 7, just to get rid of them.

Here's moi, shooting a few of them...

The correct bullet mould arrives next week, alevai, and we can do some serious load development for this lovely old stager. From the date and sunburnt blueing, it might just have been at Rorkes Drift. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

I have to admit that I'm not a great fan of guns made of stainless steel and polymer - don't get me wrong, they are great in their place and context. Being a registered old f**t, I'm allowed to have old guns, and this morning I was shooting this M-E, my 1910 BSA take-down .22cal, and the 1912 Mauser. Beside me was a guy shooting $12K-worth of LEFT-HANDED ACTION Desert Tech rifle and scope. TTTT, he didn't look like he was having half as much fun as I was with my own two guns, together costing about half as much as his spiffy bipod.

I am not yet a ROF, but most of my guns are. Still have more fun with my Springfield's than I do with any of my more modern stuff.

I bought this 1910 Colt first generation 1873 this morning with a period holster made by a famous Texan company for 1500.00. It is being shipped to my Boise store. 45 long Colt.

One of a couple 6.8 spcII MSR I have. This one is in a pistol version. Mid gas 12.5" ARP barrel, best barrels for the money I have found in any caliber!! (not affiliated with them at all by the way, just love the product) www.AR15performance.com
The rest of it is basically just a bunch of random pieces laying around to finish it off. It kicks a bit but is by far one of the funnest guns I have shot in a while

I'll play! LMT 14.5 complete upper p/w on a Noveske Gen 1 lower w/ LMT internals. Added an Aimpoint PRO and now it's my beater rifle. I love never having to turn off that red dot.
