Anyone getting a little bit of deja vu? If there is truth to the suspicion that Biden's handlers behind the scenes are the people we think they are, then they would also be the same people who were in power during Benghazi and probably why the "let Americans rot" attitude feels a little familiar.

This was 'sort of' alluded to early this morning on FOX.

Essentially it was suggested that Biden ain't 'in the loop' and is for all intents and purposes has little involvement and is just being given some 'token' intel with a few minor details.

I think this is part of it but there are some real inconsistencies and time lapses between what is reported and what he says.

China may not have such an easy time with the Taliban, due to the way they are treating their Muslim population. I'm sure the Taliban are aware of what is happening to the Uighurs. As a friend of mine who is familiar with the culture says, "The Taliban will probably take Chinese money, but curse them as pig-eating kuffar when their backs are turned."

The Chinese won't be hampered by rules of engagement or humanitarian issues though. The failure of Afghanistan was due to politics, not military effectiveness.

Of course they do and they will make it look 'diplomatic' on the surface but underneath they will be ruthless, demanding and probably threatening in the end to get what they want.

Good questions. A couple Chinese companies already have 30 year leases in the area but I don't know if Taliban govt will honor them or not.

I see it as the latter, no need for a conflict when you support the reigning leaders and their form of government.

When they arrived in America , President Ford asked Congress for a package to assist these refugees to integrate into American society.
