I remember those ads for "Asian military magazines" and though, so narrows it down to from here:
Never took the plunge.
On that topic of that part of the world, the South Korean M1 Carbine magazines have, at least in the two carbines we have (M1 and M2), been an outstanding value. Both the 15 and 30 rounders run just fine and they're a lot less expensive than other options. YMMV.
