Inflation stats should reflect the basics of the real cost of sustaining life, not the fakey stuff used to make the politicians look "good" like they are really doing something of worth. The "basket of goods" has been changed many times by whomever is in the Whitehouse. That trick is not just used by anyone party! How anyone can 'pronounce' lower inflation when a can of beans is jacked up from $1 to $ 1.50 is laughable!

From one of my favorite books (1984):

My guess is the purpose isn't so much about revenue. Gov't prints money for itself at will out of thin air, then punishes citizens with planned inflation.

It is about control. That tag on your windshield reporting your whereabouts just in case the hundreds of cameras somehow missed where you are at any given time. Better yet, tie it to your digital ID and when you are not being a compliant drone, say you refuse med experiments, your travel rights are revoked.

Grocery shop today; Waremart (Winco ) have lowered prices on many things except those Peelz clementine oranges that my daughter just loves. Most fruits & vegetables in produce section are still priced higher compared to 6 months ago. Eggs and milk are a little better but not by much. Some frozen foods have gone down in prices compared to a couple weeks ago. Gas prices went down a teeny tiny bit, but not significantly enough. It is an election year

I think I heard they did away with the self check-out at that one? That would be a PITA if that Winco closes. I seldom go there, we go to the 122nd and San Rafael store. If the other closes all the dregs will transfer, I'm sure.
