Okay, I know this will sound totally off-scale, but maybe for that reason it could work? How interesting it would be if Biden sent former president Trump to Moscow as a special envoy to negotiate a ceasefire and end hostilities. After all, Trump is an incredible negotiator. If he could succeed in outreach to North Korea, surely he could bring Putin around to some kind of compromise.

Playing this "whatif" scenario out a bit more. Seems like coordination of efforts would a major obstacle to overcome for civilian forces that wanted to participate in guerrilla efforts.

How would they communicate and determine where, when and how to be effective rather than just a bunch of random individuals doing random stuff of questionable effectiveness before being snuffed out.

Recently I heard it described as a "honeybee or swarm approach." Which basically just meant that civilians played the zone, they basically stayed where they naturally would already be but when the enemy came into their area they all just attacked. Similar to how honey bees will swarm an attacking foe. So what that would look like is basically like in this area I live if there was a foreign effort making its way through the neighborhood the 2-3 block radius that has eyes on this area would just swarm. As the forces moved any direction those 2-3 block radius would swarm as their opportunity arose. There would be massive casualties, but anywhere the enemy went they would be met with resistance. This type of effort would require a type of mindset that I don't believe the majority of the population has. Looking at the news and seeing hundreds of men and women of fighting age hunkered in subway tunnels says about all there is to say.

Maybe not installing a dementia puppet into the presidency by method of rampant and coordinated fraud in the 2020 election would have allowed Trump to maintain the previous four years of no new war conflicts for another 4 years.

I think the randomness would be useful and advantageous. It would make it more difficult for Russians to adapt to the attacks if they are happening in many different ways. The attacks should be effective but even ineffective tactics could be useful for propaganda purposes, like Tank Man for example.

Communication is important but not absolutely necessary if all the Ukranians have the same purpose to inflict pain on Russian efforts.

The US and others can help by keeping internet up in the country. Musk is making efforts towards that goal.

Prepardeness should include techniques for disabling, slowing, etc heavy armored vehicles besides standing in front of them.

Civilian drones with quality cameras would be useful too for surveillance purposes. It would be nice to see amazon donate a bunch for the Ukraine effort. And Long Range rifles with nice glass for the amateur snipers. Not sure what is popular over there for long range target shooting.

Looks as though Ukraine likes our ARs too.

What are the weaknesses (besides missles) of the heavy armored vehicles, tanks, etc used in today's armys? Are tires bullet proof? What about maneuverability wise? How deep of water/mud can they forge through? What about heat resistance of interior from outside heat sources? How much heat can wheeled vehicle tires withstand? How bullet proof is glass in windowed vehicles? Can helicopters be taken out with firearm, how large of cartridge would be necessary?

Edit: Here is source discussing vulnerabilities of some Russian Equipment.

Emergency locator beacons could be used by citizens to identify locations of foreign invaders. If the Country being invaded still has access to satellite imagery or drones it might help identify targets. When a citizen spotted the Invader's vehicles they could flip on a locator beacon in the area. That could alert the Country to check the area for targets.

I like the swarming idea, kind of like a flash mob with rifles.

Satellite phones would be helpful for times when cell phones and internet are cut off by invaders. Not sure if HAM radio communications could be encrypted but that would be useful as well.

Shipping containers could be used to block roads. If they are on trailers, move them to choke point in roads to be blocked. Turn the trailers sideways and tip the container/trailer over on its side. Fill trailer tires with diesel/used motor oil and light them on fire when invader convoy is approaching. IEDs around the trailers and snipers nearby may help discourage convoy from trying to move the trailers. There would need to be enough trailers connected so that they couldn't simply be pushed or pulled out of the way. Loading heavy cargo to side of trailer before tipping over, would aid in tipping over the trailer and make it more difficult to move once tipped over. This tactic would assume you had trucks and drivers to haul them and time to do it.

Edit: The road block could serve as a temporary stoppage so Javelin armed hunter/killer teams could lay waste to the convoy as they try to figure out how to move past road block.

Like any other vehicle, they use fuel, and the heavier the vehicle, the more fuel they use - especially if they are tracked.

"If what I read elsewhere is accurate (big if): the back story is that the Russians ran out of fuel and commandeered this dude's tractor to tow the apc, then when they weren't looking he pulled the ol' uno reverse and took off with his tractor and the apc."

There are a LOT of old defunct trailers, cars, trucks, tractor, combines, etc. sitting around here and there in fields/barns/etc., that could serve as roadblock debris. Ammonia nitrate is stored by the ton on some farms - use that to make tank traps in a road - force the armor into the muddy fields where they get bogged down and stuck, or at least slow down. In the PNW, lots and lots of large trees to drop across a road.

Nah.....
Being a member of the UN Security Council.
That parking spot is reserved for the CCP (Chinese).
They are willing and wanting to show the world, that they love PEACE.
All while threatening to do the same as Russia. Only in Taiwan.

Aloha, Mark

When you think about it......

It's mainly Brandon and ITAR that is standing in the way of private export of firearms to Ukraine.

Maybe.....
It'll help by bringing the war to a swift end?
Or maybe, it might be thought of as "expanding the war"?
Or maybe, one could just think of the gesture as "A DEFENSE OF FREEDOM" issue?

At any rate, perhaps the Liberals of Amerika (or whatever Anti-Gun NGO)? Maybe, they could get behind this???

So then.....
Why not?
Startup a collection?
To buy guns and ammo off of "Gang Bangers"
And....those Police Dept. turn-ins and those collected firearms with no (or defaced serial number) can't legally re-enter the Amerikan marketplace.
So then.....
Send them off to the Ukraine?

Rrrrright.....sort of like solving two problems.

Aloha, Mark
