Rifle: M1A
Pistol: Glock 21 .45
The M1A is 7.62/.308 and is versatile enough for anything you need a rifle to do. The ammo is commonly available and it's a really tough rifle with few parts to go south.
The Glock is, well, a Glock. I have spare parts but have never needed them on any Glock I've owned. The .45 is a common caliber in the US. The 9mm versions would be a close second due to ammo availability.
I see the wisdom having a .22lr as well. I love my .22. I'm just assuming that if the situation is that bad that I only have time to grab one gun I'm going to want some firepower. Either overt firepower with a larger rifle, or concealed firepower with the .45.
