Bought my first NFA item the other day. Just a simple .22 can. Ordered on 10/16, submitted on 10/28, check cashed 11/4. Luckily the shop I ordered it through allows conjugal visits as it sits in NFA jail.

I'm excited and frustrated, just bought a couple of suppressors about mid October... so won't see those until late next summer... :( I just wonder how much faster the process will actually be, especially in the beginning... when there is a made rush... I recently got my form 1 back in 23 days though...

Here's one we got back in the mail earlier this week, roughly 10 months on an individual.

Same for me too. Purchased a Sandman S in Oct. Got my Form 1 in 3 weeks recently.

This was the longest wait (as far as I can remember) that I've had for a form 1 efile

Mine cashed in May…could it be, I'm only 3 months away??

It's getting too close to an out of state move date for comfort for me…really hope it gets in before then, else I hear you have to cancel and start the whole process again.

I think the biggest factor is what approver's queue you get put into. I had two Form4 trust cans on the same order, tax stamps went in at the same time via SS, checks were cashed 2/9 and 2/10. Identical YHM R9 cans. One tax stamp was approved on 10/29 and the other on 12/1, stamps arrived roughly a month apart at my SOT. Only difference is the approvers were different. Now I am just waiting on OSP to bless this transaction via their 1000's deep queue.

Hope you get your approval @Hueco before your move. I have also heard the process of canceling and resubmitting is no fun.

Huh?

You don't do a Nics check on suppressors.

If your dealer is putting it in, and worse charging you a $10 BGC fee, time to find a smarter dealer.
