Exactly. SilencerCo claimed over 21 million registered suppressors as of 2022? But gotta wonder, was that in 1 year, or grand total since 1934?

My thinking too. Then again, silencers/suppressors are indeed one of the biggest, if not the biggest NFA categories.

I still think it's BS that NFA items are taxed per transfer like buying a car, where you as the buyer have to pay a use tax each time the car is sold. Or sales tax if you bought it from a business.

Just watch Congress try to impose a yearly "registration fees" for NFA items, if they cant get "increase NFA tax stamp costs to keep with inflation"

At $200 a pop just think how much they would rake in if they just sold them like any other gun? Hell I know I would have several of the damn things now. It would be a HUGE money maker for them.
