So your going to temporarily take my property away - deny its use until it goes through the legal process and say my rights were protected even though I might not have done anything criminal?
If you exabit concerning behavior, DAMN RIGHT! Not everyone is gonna like or agree, but,............
were gonna have to quit being nice here and start taking meaningful actions to try and stop all these shootings!

So far we have talked about removing inidividuals rights am I on the right website. Foregoing due process, modifying the 2nd amendment and infringing on the 1st amendment. I am having a hard time buying into changing the BOR's without amending it first.

I agree with some and not others but I'm not up for an ongoing debate.

While there is NEVER and end all solution, my opinion has always been:

Abolish the ATF and send that money to free mental health care and beef up local law enforcement.

Also, guards at schools with a rifle and pistol with the training to use both. Heck, body armor that person up so they can effectively deal with an issue.

Just my 2¢….

I agree with you here, asking the tough question of how, and that where we need to find an equitable answer that squares with our rights!

Those rights are absolute, however, YOU and YOUR behaviour can have a negative impact on your rights, same as commiting a felony, you loose your rights for a while, and one of them permentally ( for now) and yes, one can loose their Rights for saying things they shouldn't, it's called responsibility, and it has consequences!! It's also one of the few rights that has actual property attached to it, but that doesn't really matter!

The jerkoffs from 9/11 got thrown in Gitmo with no rights. Sometimes that's what it takes to send a message. I put school shooters right there with those pieces of sh!t.

Kids getting taken advantage of is the issue.

School shootings, the trans movement being forced on children, the sexualization of children, trafficking, child porn, the normalization of pedophilia, etc.

These are kids are in the most important and impressionable time in their lives. And adults are preying on them for their own agendas and satisfaction.

Those individuals need to go into the ground. For forever.

Parents need to be more concerned with being a mom and dad then they do needing to be worried about being a best friend and getting approval and a golden star from their child.

So what exactly is concerning behavior - how far does it go and who gets to decide wether my behavior is ok or not? To me this is about one step from the inqusition - becareful they might decide your a heretic or a threat.

Murder is the absolute worst, and should be punished with all the severity possable under our Justice System! I like the Siberian Gulag idea here, make them suffer daily till the sentence is served, or they die behind bars, or better yet, a .30 cent bullet through the gob, and save the tax payers money!

And the states have been offered Serious funding to address the issues, as long as they are THE ISSUES the current administrations demands they address!
Red Flag laws could be modified to suit the needs with out violating someone's rights, BUT that would require a serious and well reasoned discussion, something we havn't had the balls or stomach to address, so we get more of the same draconian over reactions from that party!
There is no reaction like over-reaction.

This is why we're having this conversation!
Your right to ask, indeed, who decides?
We need to set down a thorough process that MUST be followed, by people chosen for their experience and expertise, not some jacksrse judge or politician or bureaucrat! Take the politics out of it and start there!

If it 100% objective and not the opinion of those placed in the position to determine my rights I can choke it down but I highly suspect this is a step in helping anti's acheive thier goals of gun control.

This is a huge problem, right here. I guaran Fing tee that these power positions will be filled by bureaucrats . Because that's who will design the system. I sincerely can't see it going any other way.

Think about this, there are hundreds of millions of lawful and responsible gun owners in this country It is also said that One in Five people suffer some form in mental health issue, and yet, here we are with a very low percentage of crime involving guns, ( not to mention crimes prevented because of guns) so, how do we address the small numbers without tipping the apple cart? How do we deal with those bad apples with out harming the rest? If that requires removing someone's rights, then we need to address what that looks like in a way that dosnt diminish anyone else's rights!

I'm not saying this is the right solution, or the only one, but I think it bears further discussion!

Very few things in life can be controlled 100%.

Imo, mitigation is what should be strived for.

When I grew up, there was a time or two I was bullied even though I was a big kid and sometimes because of that (well often) the local bully would have a mine is bigger then yours contest.

I could go home and forget it, process how to handle it and go back the next day or after the weekend.

Kids now get bombarded with social media and the harassment never ends.

Social media isn't going away. My kid was thankfully a teenager before it was pretty much a "all my friends are on ________". Now 8-12 year olds are on some kind of platform.

Things are going to happen….

Yes, I grew up being taught to not touch the firearms. These days (imo) if you have kids at home then you should lock your stuff up and treat it like a CC. If it's not on you it's locked or within reach.

BUT, are we locking up kitchen knives? Machetes out in the garden shed?

When there becomes a will there will always be a way to harm someone - the prison system should be a prime example. Who is locking up toothbrushes that can be sharpened?

So again, I advocate for help for those that want it (some don't or won't take it) and measures to prevent 3 people dying as opposed to 13. Yes, it's horrible but nothing is 100%.

Honestly, I also think teachers that are willing to pull the trigger (lots aren't but some would be) be armed with a police level holster and add that many more people to the mix.

Mass shootings generally happen in No Firearms Allowed Areas.
