I don't know where my callous towards humans comes from but the retribution those invaders would receive from me would be much worse than what it'd be if Rex was a person. We're talking midieval torture status and it's not even my damn dog...

If something like this would have happened to to me when I was the kids age they would have been facing a barrage of .22 lr from my Winchester Model 06. But a different world today. I hope the dog makes a full recovery and has a long life as this boys companion and protector
