If the homeowner was shooting through his front door, how did the empty shell casing get found in the street and recorded (34 sec.) between the feet of the concerned neighbor while he's being interviewed.
Just a possibility but MAYBE the the homeowner followed the suspects out the door and continued shooting and this was conveniently left out of the cam recording and news report as well.

It's also possible the suspects fired back but from the looks of it they were scurrying like scared rabbits.

Didn't click but if it was a mini-14 this is quite common.

Lool!

We don't know, but occam's razor being what it is... is it more likely the homeowner left the safety of his home running down the street shooting wildly into homes... or... the fleeing attackers already running down the road were randomly returning fire without much shot discipline(?)

In the video you can clearly see the perp's popping rounds off as they are stumbling to flee. The video cuts off quickly and no telling if they continued firing as they progressed further away from the scene of the crime, but if LE was finding shell casings down the block... it's certainly seems more likely they belonged to the perps.

We can dream up all kinds of irrational theories to fit a narrative, but what purpose does it serve? ;)

I can think of a few too! For all we know, those casings were from a previous shooting incident 2 nights ago. The casings found up the block were some spent brass that fell out of a neighbors range bag earlier in the day. Maybe some kids where using their dad's spent brass as slingshot ammo trying to terrorize the neighbors cat. 🤣

Why not Jesus, Carlos or Juan?
Quintus, Lucius, and Scipio... people with similar names broke into my ancestors homes a few thousand years ago...

What present-day would-be home invaders would be met with would depend upon which room I was in at the time.. AK, AR M4gery, pump12, .38 snubbie, SKS, the list continues... No kids around so there are loaded guns laying around the place..

Somebody needs to remix that video.

You would think that because the criminals yelled "Seattle Police!", this would garner some extra attention from law enforcement. The ramifications from the actions of those who may start to assume that someone announcing themselves as "Police", and are not actually law enforcement, could prove deadly for all.

It's one of the crews from Seattle that is robbing the Beacon Hill Asians. SPD is turning the heat up, so they are moving south. They may also jug their victims leaving the Muckleshoot Casino, also in Auburn.

It's not race. It's CULTURE.
True. Ethnic appearance is just a cultural identifier. There are many millions of darker-pigmented people on this planet who are some of the most decent human beings you could ever hope to meet. Gangsta culture, on the other hand, is rotten and toxic, no matter what the ethnicity. It's sad that that culture is so celebrated in popular culture, and that so many people in the inner cities are generationally trapped in it.

Not all of them. How much of a chance does a poor black boy have, raised by a single mother in the hood, because dad left or is in jail? His role models are gangsters and drug dealers. A few may be able to break the cycle, but human nature being what it is, most will just follow in Dad's footsteps, like any other kid in any other culture.

That doesn't make criminals any less culpable for their crimes, but we are all mostly products of our environment, and the worst criminals are the leaders who perpetuate the problem for their own gain.
