I teach children with the full spectrum of autism so I completely understand the issues, but cops these days cannot be expected to behave as teachers do. In my line of work, the ENTIRE focus is on staff avoiding the triggers of children with issues. This may be an exaggeration, but it is accurate to say that educators have taken upon themselves all blame for negative, antisocial behaviors of children. When children behave poorly, staff are to ask themselves, "What did I do, what environment did I create, that triggered this behavior."
Cops can't do that when there are people out there with guns who hate the POH-lease. If a person isn't able to handle a stressful situation like a traffic stop, then they should not have a license.
